Start with your internet connection, then delete and reinstall the app. Those two steps fix most crashes, according to Boo's FAQ. Your messages stay on your account after a reinstall, unless the other person unmatched you or was banned. If it still crashes, email hello@boo.world with your Boo ID so the team can look into it.

If the app keeps crashing

Check the connection first. Switch between wifi and mobile data, and try another page to see whether the problem is the phone and not the app.

If the connection is fine, delete Boo and install it again. That clears out whatever went wrong inside the app. Because your chats live on your account, you do not lose them by doing it.

When it still crashes after a reinstall, Boo asks you to email hello@boo.world with your Boo ID, and the team investigates from there. Put the model of your phone and what you were doing when it crashed in the email, since that helps them find the cause.

If you cannot log in

Login problems follow the same order. Verify your internet connection first, since a weak connection can look like a rejected login.

If the connection is good and you still cannot get in, contact hello@boo.world. Say what happens when you try, so they can tell a password problem from an account problem.

If notifications have stopped

Missing notifications usually mean a setting is off, and there are two places to check. Boo says to enable them in Settings under Notifications, and also in the phone's own settings.

Both have to be on. A man who turns them on in the app and leaves them off on the phone gets nothing, and he finds out when a woman asks why he never replied.

This matters more than it sounds. A match who writes while she is on the app expects an answer within a few hours. a dating coach's advice is that a reply after an hour or a few hours looks natural without looking needy. Working notifications are how you stay inside that window.

If a chat disappeared

A chat can vanish for three reasons. The other person may have unmatched you, deleted her account, or been banned.

None of these is a fault in the app, and none of them can be reversed from your side. It is easy to take a vanished chat personally. Most of the time she lost interest, or the account was removed for breaking a rule, and neither says anything about you. Move on to the next message.

If a purchase did not show up

If you paid for something and it does not appear, open Settings, then My Account, and tap Retry Pending Purchase. Wait for the app to check with the store.

When that does not work, contact support with your Order ID, which is in the purchase confirmation email from the App Store or Google Play. Check that you are signed in to the same Boo account you paid with, since a second account will not show the purchase.

Before you write to support

Go through the checks in order so you can report what you did. Note whether the problem happens on wifi and on mobile data. Note whether a reinstall changed anything. Then write down what you see when it fails: a crash, a blank page, an error message or a button that does nothing.

Support can help far faster with a short, specific description than with "it does not work". Include your Boo ID, since Boo asks for it when the app keeps crashing, and say which phone you use.

Hold off on buying anything while the app is unstable. If a purchase fails halfway, you end up chasing a missing order instead of using what you paid for.

What to do while it is down

Do not waste the time. If you have matches and messages waiting, answer from another device, such as the web version at boo.world, if you can sign in there.

Use the wait to improve what women see first. Replace a dark or distant first photo with a clear picture of your face in daylight. My point is that a first draft of your page is never your best work, and that you should keep improving and testing it. An outage is a free hour to do it.

When it is not the app

If everything works but nothing happens, the app is fine and your results are the issue. Few matches and few replies point to your first photo and your first lines, and no reinstall will change them.
