Cookie Policy

How Cold Approach uses essential cookies, local browser storage, and third-party services.

01

What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website sets in your browser. We use them for a small number of specific functions: keeping you signed in, remembering your billing session at checkout, measuring whether the site is working, and measuring whether our own advertising works. We don’t sell your behavior to data brokers.

02

Strictly necessary

These are required to deliver the core features and services you request. Because they are essential for site operations, they cannot be disabled while using Cold Approach.

  • Auth session cookies. Keep you signed in across pages. Set by our authentication provider. Cleared when you sign out or after the session expires.
  • Checkout cookies. Held by our payment processor during a checkout flow so the payment session survives page reloads. The processor sets and removes these.
  • CSRF and security tokens. Prevent cross-site request forgery against forms and API endpoints.
03

Preferences

We may store small amounts of data in localStorageor cookies for things like the last category filter you used on the articles or whether you’ve dismissed a banner. None of this is shared with anyone. It lives in your browser and you can clear it any time from your browser’s settings.

04

Analytics

We use a product analytics service to understand page views, which articles get read, and which features get used. It stores a random identifier in a first-party cookie (and in your browser’s localStorage) so we can recognize the same visitor across a session even if one of those is cleared. The data goes to our own analytics project, not an ad network. We do not use third-party advertising or attribution trackers for this, and you can clear the cookie or the identifier any time from your browser’s site-data settings.

05

Advertising measurement

When we run ads for our own coaching programs, an advertising analytics service may set cookies in your browser so we can tell whether those ads actually lead to visits and applications. This is conversion measurement for our own campaigns, not a data resale program. You can block or clear these cookies at any time from your browser’s settings without affecting anything else on the site.

06

Third-party services

A small number of service providers may set their own cookies when their functionality is in play:

  • Our payment processor, during a checkout, so the payment session works reliably.
  • Our video delivery provider, for course video playback (playback-session cookies).
  • Our scheduling provider, for the embedded consultation-call booking calendar when you apply for coaching.
07

Managing cookies

Every modern browser lets you block cookies, clear them, or restrict third-party cookies from the sites you visit. If you block strictly-necessary cookies, signing in and checkout will stop working. Advertising-measurement cookies can be blocked or cleared without affecting anything on the site. We keep cookie use minimal and don’t show a cookie banner today; if regulations applicable to our visitors require consent for a category we use, we’ll add one.

08

Changes to this policy

If we add a new cookie category or third party that meaningfully changes the picture, we update this page and bump the “last updated” date at the top. Material changes also get a one-time email notice if you’re a paying member.
