It depends on what is going wrong, and Jaumo's help center has a different fix for each. If the app crashes, update it, restart your phone, clear the cache and reinstall. If you cannot log in, use password recovery with the email you signed up with. If chats or likes have vanished, the other person may have deleted her account, and Jaumo cannot restore them.
If the app keeps crashing
Jaumo's help center gives a list for crashes. Work through it in order:
- Update the app.
- Restart your device.
- Clear the app cache.
- Reinstall the app from your official app store.
- Check that your phone's operating system is up to date.
The order matters. The first steps are cheap and fix most glitches. Reinstalling is the heavier step, so do it last.
If none of that stops the crashes, contact Jaumo's support and give as much detail as you can, including any error messages. "It crashes when I open a chat, and it says this" is something support can work with.
If you cannot log in
Open the login screen, tap the settings icon, choose the password recovery option, enter your registered email address and follow the link sent to your inbox. Check your spam folder too.
One rule is firm. You must be able to access the email address you signed up with. Without it, Jaumo cannot give you access to your account, and it says that is for security reasons.
So before you do anything else, work out which email you used. Many men sign up with an address they have since stopped checking, and that is the whole problem.
If notifications are late or missing
Jaumo's advice differs by phone.
On iOS, check notification settings and permissions in your device settings, reboot the device, restart the app and check your network and firewall settings. Reinstall the app if you need to.
On Android, check notification settings and reboot the device. Adjust the app's permissions and data usage settings. Exclude the app from power-saving options, and keep a stable Wi-Fi connection.
A man who misses a message for hours looks slow to answer. That costs you more than a technical fault feels like it should, so fix this one properly.
If a chat or match vanished
This is the one that worries men most. Jaumo's help center says a conversation, match, like or visitor that vanished may mean the other user deleted her account. It can also mean Jaumo's system isolated the profile for suspicious activity such as scamming.
Deleted items cannot be restored. There is no setting to flip and no request to send.
You also cannot tell which of the two happened. Do not lose an evening trying. If the person was real and wanted to talk, she can find you again. If she was not, you have lost nothing.
When the app is the problem and when it is not
A crash, a login failure and a missing notification are the app. A quiet inbox is usually not.
Men often say an app is "not working" when the technical side is fine and nobody is answering. If Jaumo opens, loads and shows women, but you get no replies, look at your photos and your first lines instead of reinstalling anything.
a dating coach calls photos the biggest thing men get wrong online. His advice is recent, candid pictures of you on your own and with friends, taken by someone else, in places you actually go. A clear first photo in daylight does more than any amount of restarting.
Do not let one app hold your plans
An outage costs more when a woman's only way to reach you is the app. Once a conversation has some life, suggest a plan and swap numbers. My method gets a woman from the app to a plan in about four to seven messages.
After that, a crashed app is an annoyance, not a loss. Your Thursday drink is already in your phone.
What to send support
If you write to Jaumo, say which phone you use, what version of the operating system it runs, and exactly what happens and when. List the steps you already tried, so the reply does not repeat them. A short, specific message is answered faster than a long, angry one.
The short answer
Match the fix to the fault. For crashes, update, restart, clear the cache, reinstall and check your operating system. For login, use password recovery with the email you signed up with. For missed notifications, check settings and power-saving options. A vanished chat usually means the other person left, and it cannot be restored.
