When eHarmony will not load or let you log in, the cause is usually your browser, an expired session, a weak connection or a phone that is too old for the app. Check them in that order, so you can get back to your matches and messages quickly. If the problem is still there after that, eharmony's Customer Care is open around the clock.
Start with the browser
eharmony's own site notices say it needs JavaScript switched on and cookies allowed in your browser. If either is off, pages can load half empty or buttons can do nothing.
It also warns that an outdated browser can stop features from working. Update the browser, turn on JavaScript, allow cookies for the site, and reload. This fixes more problems than any other single step, and it takes a minute.
If you are on a work computer or a locked-down browser, try your phone's browser instead. A setting you do not control may be what blocks the page.
Is it a session problem
The site warns when a session has expired, and it warns when the connection is offline or slow. So a page that fails to load is often a login session or a network problem, not a fault with your account.
Log out fully, close the tab, open it again and sign in. If it says your session expired, that is the whole explanation. Then check your connection by loading any other site. A weak signal on a phone, or a shared network that is crawling, will make eharmony look broken when it is only slow.
When the app will not install or open
eharmony says its app is available for iOS and Android. If the app tells you it is not compatible with your device, the operating system is probably old. Update the phone's software and try again, or use another device.
On an iPad, the app search may need to be switched from iPad-only to iPhone before you can find it. That is an App Store setting, and it trips up a lot of people who assume the app does not exist.
If you cannot update the device, use the website in a browser. The site does the same job, and you lose nothing but a home screen icon.
Check your subscription
Members with an active subscription can look at the term and renewal details in Data and Settings after logging in. If a feature is missing and you think you paid for it, look there before you assume the site is broken. It also shows you when the next renewal is due, which is worth knowing whatever your problem is.
This is the step men skip, because a login that will not work feels like a technical fault and not a billing question. If you can get in at all, it takes thirty seconds and rules out a whole category of confusion.
If it is still not working
Write down what you tried before you contact anyone, so you do not repeat yourself when they ask. Then contact Customer Care. eharmony says it is available around the clock and replies within hours, at most within 24 hours. Tell them what you see on the screen, which browser or phone you use, and what you already tried. "It does not work" gives them nothing to check. "The page loads blank in my browser after I log in, and I have already updated it" does.
Keep the conversations alive while it is down
A broken site has a second cost that has nothing to do with software. A woman you were enjoying sees you go silent, and she has no idea you are stuck at a login screen. To her, it looks like you lost interest.
This is a good argument for moving a warm chat off the site early. a dating coach teaches that a conversation should reach a plan in about four to seven short texts, closing with an exchange of numbers. A woman who already has your number does not need eharmony to work for you to reach her.
Once you are back in
Spend the first few minutes on people, not settings. Answer anyone who wrote while you were out with one light line that picks up where the chat stopped. Skip the apology about technical trouble, since she does not care. Then pick the two or three women worth a plan this week and suggest one.
If the site keeps failing and Customer Care cannot fix it, give your evenings to another app until it is sorted. Waiting on a login is the most expensive way to spend a week.
