Careers

Work from the material users actually bring.

The work starts with the thread, photo set, date recap, coaching note, or product behavior on the screen. If you can look at the real object, name the missed move, and make the next adjustment easier, read the work below and send the proof.

What good work looks like here

The job is to make a messy moment easier to read.

Cold Approach hires people who stay close to the thing that happened without turning it into theater. The work should feel useful the same day someone reads it, hears it, or uses it.

Real material

Start with the object in front of the user.

Whether you coach, write, or build, the input is the thread, photo set, date recap, product behavior, or reader problem.

Clear judgment

Name the miss before giving the fix.

Good work explains the tradeoff, names the pattern, and makes the next adjustment easier to see.

Quiet standards

No shortcuts, no costume, no noisy performance.

We care about skill, pacing, honesty, and taste. If a tactic would make the user less responsible, it does not belong here.

Where we need judgment

Work that is open now.

How we hire

Show how you think.

  1. 1. First note. We read every email. Tell us what you have done, what role fits, and what material you understand better than most people.
  2. 2. Work sample or trial. Coaches do a paid trial cohort. Writers turn in sample pieces. Engineers do a paid one-week pairing. We do not use unpaid exercises.
  3. 3. Scenario call. You meet the team to discuss threads, workshop moments, shipped projects, and the judgment behind your past work.
  4. 4. Reference check. We contact references, including former clients, editors, and managers, to verify track record and working style.
