Dating coaching can cost anywhere from a single paid call to several thousand dollars for intensive or ongoing coaching. The important question isn't just what a coach charges. It's what you actually get for the money.
At Cold Approach, you can spend $250 on a single 1-on-1 call, $1,750 to $4,000 on an in-person bootcamp, or work with a coach on an ongoing basis through Mentorship.
Here's how the different formats compare, and how to figure out which one actually makes sense for you.
The short answer
Dating coaching prices vary mainly because the services themselves are completely different.

The biggest pricing difference is how much access you want to the coach, and how closely you want the coaching integrated into your actual dating life.
$250: solve one specific problem with a coach
You don't necessarily need to buy a large coaching program. A single Cold Approach 1-on-1 Call costs $250.
Bring the actual problem you're dealing with:
- Approaches you're struggling with
- A conversation you don't understand
- A date that went wrong
- Texting, online dating, or relationships
- Anything else you want another set of experienced eyes on
If one conversation is enough, stop there.
If you want continued feedback, the price per call drops with larger packages:
- 5 calls: $1,050
- 10 calls: $1,900
- 25 calls: $3,750
You schedule the calls when you need them rather than committing to a fixed weekly schedule.
$1,750 to $4,000: put the coach next to you
There is a major difference between discussing an approach afterward and having a coach watch what actually happens. That's what the Bootcamp is for.
Cold Approach runs in-person bootcamps in New York and Miami.
- Group Bootcamp, $3,000. Up to three students per coach.
- Private Bootcamp, $1,750, $3,000 or $4,000. One student with one coach, for one, two or three days.
You're paying more than you would for Zoom calls because you're buying concentrated, in-person coaching and feedback.
Instead of explaining later that you hesitated, didn't know what to say, or lost the interaction somewhere, the coach can see what you're actually doing.
For someone whose main bottleneck is translating dating knowledge into real-world execution, that's a fundamentally different product from buying coaching by the hour.
Ongoing coaching: Mentorship
A call can solve a problem. A bootcamp can compress a large amount of practice and feedback into a few days.
But some men want someone consistently involved as their dating life develops. That's what Mentorship is built for.
You get:
- Weekly 60-minute 1-on-1 coaching
- Direct coach messaging
- Access to Matthew's broader team of coaches
- Ongoing feedback as new situations come up
- Coaching across in-person dating, online dating, texting, dates, and relationships
The advantage is continuity.
The problem you're working on today may not be the problem holding you back two months from now. Once approaching improves, conversation may become the bottleneck. Once you're getting numbers, texting may become the bottleneck. Once you're getting dates, something else may become obvious.
Ongoing coaching lets the coaching move with the problem.
Mentorship is sold in three public blocks: $1,500 for 1 month, $4,250 for 3 months and $8,000 for 6 months, each paid once up front. If you need a custom length, it is priced from those blocks on your application call.
Why can two dating coaches charge completely different amounts?
Because "dating coaching" can describe radically different products.
- One person might charge for an hour on Zoom.
- Another might spend days with you in person.
- Another might review your actual approaches and conversations over several months.
Comparing those services based only on hourly price is like comparing a personal trainer, a weekend training camp, and a long-term performance coach by dividing everything by sixty minutes.
There are four things I'd look at instead.
1. How much direct access do you get?
One hour of feedback should cost less than months of access.
Ask exactly how often you interact with the coach and what happens between scheduled sessions.
2. Does the coach see what you're actually doing?
There is a limit to what someone can diagnose from your description of an interaction.
In-person coaching, recordings, screenshots, messages, and concrete examples give the coach more information about what's actually happening.
3. Is the coaching individualized?
A course and private coaching aren't the same product.
The more the service responds to your specific problems rather than delivering the same curriculum to everyone, the more coach time it requires.
4. Are you buying information or feedback?
Dating information is cheap and abundant. Personalized feedback is the scarce part.
If you already know a huge amount about dating but keep producing the same results, buying another hundred hours of information may not solve the problem. Someone identifying what you are doing wrong can be considerably more valuable.
What if your problem is online dating?
You may not need dating coaching at all.

Is a dating coach worth the money?
The wrong question is "What's the cheapest dating coach?"
The better question is:
What is actually preventing me from getting the dating life I want?
If you have one specific problem and mostly know what you're doing, spending thousands of dollars may be unnecessary. Start with a $250 call.
If you know the theory but can't execute consistently in person, time in the field with a coach watching you may be much more useful than another twenty Zoom calls.
If your problems keep changing as you improve and you want continuous feedback, ongoing Mentorship makes more sense.
And if you already know you don't want to spend your time learning online dating, coaching may be the wrong category entirely. Pay to have that part done.
