Yes, if you have Tinder Gold or Tinder Platinum. Tinder says Gold and Platinum subscribers get free Super Likes every week. It lists Weekly Super Likes as a Gold feature, and Platinum includes everything in Gold. Tinder Plus does not include them. The free ones expire if you do not use them, and Tinder's pages do not say how many you get each week.
Which plan includes them
The line falls between Plus and Gold. Tinder Plus does not list weekly Super Likes among its features. Tinder Gold does. Tinder Platinum includes everything in Gold, so it comes with weekly Super Likes too.
If you are on Plus and wondering why you have none, that is the reason. You would need Gold or Platinum to get them every week.
They expire, and that is fine
Tinder says the free weekly Super Likes expire if you do not use them. They do not pile up for a month when you have a good reason to use several at once.
That creates a quiet pressure. Nobody likes letting something they paid for go to waste, so men spend them at the end of the week on whoever happens to be in front of them. Resist that. An unused Super Like costs you nothing. One spent on a woman you barely looked at can cost you, because it starts the conversation with a signal you cannot back up.
Why you do not need to use them all
a dating coach is one of the more skeptical voices on Super Likes. He has said he is philosophically against them and has used them very little. He has also said he has had plenty of attractive matches without ever bothering with them.
That does not mean they never help. It means the man who spends his whole weekly allowance is not getting an edge that everyone else is missing. The value is in the few you send on purpose.
Use the free ones as a test
The weekly allowance is a free experiment. My approach to anything on a dating app is to test it yourself rather than trust what anyone says about it, including him.
For a month, send Super Likes only to women where you can name a specific reason and have an opener ready. Keep a rough count of how many turn into matches, and how many of those turn into real conversations. Compare that with your ordinary Likes over the same month. If the Super Likes clearly do better, you have learned something about your own results. If they do not, you have lost nothing, because they were going to expire anyway.
Spend them on matches you actually want
The best targets are the women you would be genuinely annoyed to miss, and whom you have something specific to say to. A woman who wrote something with a real opinion in it. One whose photos show a place or a hobby you know well.
The worst targets are the women you are not sure about. A Super Like on a maybe does not turn her into a yes for you. It just makes the conversation start with more interest than you actually feel.
A good habit is to hold them until a card genuinely stops you. Most weeks, one or two women will. When that happens, look through all of her photos and read what she wrote before you tap the star. If she still stands out after that, she is worth it. If the spark faded on a second look, an ordinary Like was the right call all along.
Pair every one with a real message
If a Super Like turns into a match, your first line has to earn it. Open with the thing that made you pick her, and keep it short and light. Skip the compliments and do not mention the star.
Say she wrote that she makes the best tacos in the city. "Bold claim. What makes yours better than the truck on the corner?" is easy to answer and a little playful. It shows you read what she wrote, and it gives her something to defend, which is more fun than being told she is pretty.
If you cannot think of a line like that before you send the Super Like, take that as your answer. Send an ordinary Like instead, and keep the star for someone you already have something to say to.
Is it a reason to buy Gold
On its own, no. If the weekly Super Likes are the main thing drawing you to Gold, stay on your current plan and spend the money where it changes more, such as better photos. Choose a plan for the features you would use every day, and treat the Super Likes as a small extra that comes with it.
