Tinder Platinum includes everything in Plus and Gold, plus Priority Likes. When a perk seems broken and your swiping brings no more matches, one of two things is usually going on. Either Tinder does not recognize your subscription on the account you are using, which Restore Purchase fixes, or the perk is working and simply promises less than you assumed. Tinder says Priority Likes only make your likes and Super Likes reach people ahead of non-subscribers. It does not promise that anyone will see them.

What Platinum actually adds

Platinum sits on top of the two cheaper tiers. It gives you what Plus and Gold give, and it adds Priority Likes.

Tinder says Priority Likes come only with a Platinum subscription and cannot be bought separately. So if you paid for Platinum, Priority Likes should be there. If they are not, you are not seeing your subscription, and that is the first thing to fix.

Check that Tinder sees your subscription

If you paid through Apple or Google Play, restore it from the app.

  1. Tap your profile icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Restore Purchase.

If you paid by card directly, log in on Tinder.com, open Manage Payment Account or Restore Purchases, and enter the Restore Token from your confirmation email.

Tinder says restoring does not start a new transaction. It reconnects a subscription that is already active, so you will not pay twice. Switching phones or recreating an account is a common reason you need to do it.

Also remember that a subscription works with only one Tinder account at a time. If you are signed in with a different login than the one you paid with, Platinum will not appear.

Priority Likes do not promise a look

Here is where many men decide Platinum is broken when it is not.

A Priority Like reaches her ahead of the likes from people who do not subscribe. That is all Tinder claims for it. She still decides whether to open your page, and she still decides whether to like it back. Tinder says nothing in the feature promises you will be seen.

So the perk can be working perfectly and still produce nothing. Your like arrives early at the top of a stack, she glances at your first photo, and she passes. From your side it looks like the feature failed. From hers, it was a normal pass.

If the perk you miss is not on that list

You may be chasing a feature this article does not name. We have only written what Tinder's own pages say about Platinum, and that is the inclusion of Plus, Gold and Priority Likes.

If something else is missing, read Tinder's subscription page for your account and compare the tier you bought to the one you think you bought. A man who paid for Plus and expects Platinum features is not facing a bug. Then, if the perk is listed and still absent after you have restored the purchase, take it to Tinder's help center with your receipt.

Is Platinum worth it

a dating coach says from his own experience that Platinum is worth it. His reasoning is that dating apps are businesses and the paying members are the ones the app wants to keep happy, so the paid tiers tend to do something. He also says that if you want to be seen by the best-looking women on the app, you have to pay for the top tier, since the lower ones no longer do that.

He is not a believer in paying blindly. His method is to test one feature at a time, with it and without it, and see whether it changes your results. A boost is cheap enough to try both ways.

He also points out that paid features are multipliers. They help a man who already gets some results and they add nothing for a man who gets none. So the question to ask before you pay is simple. Are you getting any matches at all without it?

Make the early like count

If your like arrives ahead of everyone else's, make the page she lands on ready for it. A sharp, well-lit photo of your face as the first image, with a couple of shots that show your real life after it. She decides in a second or two.

If she likes you back, write a short first line about something specific on her page, then move toward a plan within a handful of texts. Priority Likes can speed up the introduction. The date still comes from you asking for it.
