Tinder Plus includes unlimited daily Likes and unlimited Rewinds. It also adds Passport Mode, an ad-free experience and incognito mode. It does not include the Likes page, weekly Super Likes or the monthly Boost. Those come with Gold. Plus changes what you can do inside the app, not how many women choose you.
Unlimited daily Likes
Free accounts have a limit on how many Likes you can send in a day. Plus removes it.
That sounds like a gift, and for most men it is a trap. More Likes does not mean more matches worth having. A man who likes everyone ends up with a long list of women he never writes to. a dating coach's view is that selective swiping gets better results than liking by the hundred. So unlimited Likes help only if you were running out of women you actually wanted to like.
Unlimited Rewinds
A Rewind takes back your last Like or Nope. Plus gives you as many as you want.
This is the most useful feature on the list for a clumsy thumb. We have all flicked past a woman we meant to like. A Rewind brings her back, and it works in the other direction too, when you liked someone by accident.
It is built to take back your last swipe, so treat it as a safety net for the moment, not a way to rethink your whole evening.
Passport Mode
Passport lets you chat with people in a destination you choose. Use it before a trip, or when you are about to move.
That is where it earns its money. A man heading to a city for work can line up conversations before he lands and arrive with a drink already planned. A man who is staying put has little use for it.
The rule for Passport is the same as for any message: write something about the woman, not about your travel plans. "I'll be in town next month" is a statement. A comment on something she wrote is an opening.
An ad-free experience
Plus hides the ads. Tinder notes that some Plus subscribers may still see ads because of testing, so it is a reduction rather than a promise.
If the ads are what annoy you about the app, this is the whole reason to pay for Plus. If they barely register, it is the weakest item on the list.
Incognito mode
Incognito mode lets you hide yourself at any time. It is a privacy control, not a way to get more matches.
It suits a man who does not want a coworker or a neighbor stumbling across his page, and who is happy to be seen only by the women he chooses. It does nothing for your results. Hiding yourself can only mean fewer women see you, so use it on purpose.
What Plus leaves out
Several features men expect do not come with Plus. There is no Likes page showing who has already liked you, no weekly Super Likes and no monthly Boost. Those belong to Gold.
So if the thing you want is to see the women who liked you first, Plus will not give it to you. Check which feature you are actually paying for before you pick a tier.
Who should pay for Plus
Plus makes sense for a man whose problem is the app's limits. He runs out of Likes, he keeps losing a woman to a mistaken swipe, or he travels often.
If you already know you want the Likes page, the weekly Super Likes or the monthly Boost, skip Plus and look at Gold. Paying for the entry tier first and the next one a month later means paying twice for the same unlimited Likes.
It makes little sense for a man whose problem is that women are not liking him back. a dating coach's description of paid extras is that they multiply what you already have. If a free account gets almost no likes, no tier turns zero into something.
How to test it
My rule for anything the apps sell is to try one thing, compare your results with and without it, and drop it if the difference is small.
So change only one thing. Keep your photos, your words and the hours you use the app the same, buy Plus for a short stretch, and count your dates, not just your matches. If the numbers clearly move, it is paying for itself. If they stay flat, cancel it and spend the effort on your lead photo instead.
