Most of the time the cause is one of a handful of settings or events, not a broken dating app. Your account may be hidden. You may be using Incognito. Your filters may be too narrow, or you may have used up the local profiles. Or the other member may have paused, blocked or left. Check them in that order. The first one takes ten seconds.

Your own account is hidden

If your account is hidden from Discover, nobody sees you. Feeld also shows you nobody in Discover while you are hidden.

So an empty Discover feed is the first thing to check. Open the privacy settings for your account and look at the hide-profile toggle. Men switch it on while they take a break, or by accident, and then wonder why the app has gone quiet.

If you want to be browsed again, turn it off. If you want to stay hidden for a while, remember that it works both ways. You cannot look and not be looked at.

Incognito changes who can see you

Incognito is a paid feature. It shows your account only to people you have already liked.

That has two effects. Far fewer members see you, because only the ones you chose to like can. And you never see other members who are using Incognito themselves. A man who turns it on can feel as if half the app disappeared, because to him it did.

Incognito suits a man who wants privacy more than volume. If you are using it and wondering where the matches went, that is your answer. Turn it off for a week and see what changes.

A chat or connection vanished

When someone you were talking to disappears, there are four reasons, and the app lets you work out which.

The other member may have terminated their account. They may have blocked you. They may have paused their account, in which case the chat shows "Account paused" and stays until they come back. Or they may have disconnected, in which case the chat history stays viewable for a limited time and then goes.

Of those four, the pause is the only one that can reverse by itself. The other three are decisions. If you were sending a lot of messages quickly, or messages she did not ask for, a block or a disconnect is the likelier one. a dating coach warns against blunt, sexual openers on any app. Those are the messages that get a man blocked.

The pool near you is small

Feeld says its community can be small outside major cities. It also says a new profile may take a few days to be noticed.

So the app is not necessarily failing. If you live in a smaller place, there may only be so many people to see, and a new account needs time before it appears in front of anyone. Do not take three quiet days as a ruling on your photos.

Use that time. Add a clear photo of your face, fill in the sections, and say what you are looking for in plain words. A complete page is the part you control while the pool catches up.

Your filters are too tight

Narrow filters hide people. Distance, age range, genders and couple combinations all cut the pool, and so do the desire filter and the recently-online filter.

Feeld says opening up the filters, and turning off the desire and recently-online ones, can show more profiles. It also says popular and virtual locations let you browse other places. Browsing is fine. Use it to see who is around before a trip, not to pretend you are somewhere you are not.

Start by widening the distance and the age range, since those cut the most. Add the others back one at a time if you find you are seeing people you do not want.

You have already used up the feed

Members you have already liked or disliked leave your Discover feed. An emptier feed can simply mean you have gone through the local profiles.

This is common for men who swipe fast on the first night. By the weekend, there is nothing left. Check the profiles you have already liked before you decide something is wrong. Then come back in a few days. New members join, and some come back from a pause.

It also argues for being choosy. a dating coach's advice is not to like everyone. A man who likes a hundred people burns through a small pool and gets a hundred conversations he never wanted.

Location and country problems

Feeld is not available in a list of countries. If you are in one of them, profiles will not behave as expected, and nothing in your settings fixes it.

A wrong location setting can also make Discover show the wrong people. If your feed shows strangers from a city you do not live in, check that the location is set to where you actually are.

When nothing on the list explains it

If every setting looks right and profiles still will not load, treat it like a connection problem. Close the app fully, check your internet, turn off any VPN and update the app. If it still fails, contact Feeld's support and say exactly what you see, including whether the blank space is in Discover or inside a chat.
