You buy Tinder Platinum inside the Tinder app, as a subscription. Open Tinder, tap the icon that opens your own page, tap Settings, then choose Tinder Platinum. The help center describes no other place to buy it, so the app is where to look.
The steps
Open the app and tap the profile icon. Tap Settings, then choose Tinder Platinum. From there you follow the prompts to subscribe.
That is the full route, and it is the one Tinder's help center describes. If a message or a stranger sends you a link that promises a cheaper Platinum, skip it. The route above is the one Tinder documents, and anything else is a stranger's offer.
The three tiers
Tinder offers three subscription tiers: Tinder Plus, Tinder Gold and Tinder Platinum. Platinum includes everything in Plus and Gold.
Tinder does not ask you to pick a feature at a time. You choose a tier, and the tier decides what you get. Prices change, so this article does not state them. The app shows you the price before you subscribe, and that screen is the one to trust.
What Platinum adds
On top of the Plus and Gold features, Tinder says Platinum adds weekly First Impressions, Priority Likes, and the ability to see the Likes you have sent in the last 7 days.
Priority Likes is exclusive to Platinum. Tinder says it helps your Likes and Super Likes be seen faster by a potential match, before the Likes of people who do not subscribe.
That is a real feature, and it is worth being precise about its limit. Tinder says Priority Likes does not promise that your Likes and Super Likes will be seen. Other factors, such as each user's Discovery preferences, affect whether they arrive. It moves you earlier in the line. It does not promise you the first spot.
What Priority Likes is and is not
A woman who sees your Like sooner has more time to look at your photos while she is still interested. That is the entire value.
It does nothing for the photos she then sees. If your lead photo is weak, she sees it earlier and passes just as quickly. If your photos are good and your first line is specific, being seen sooner can help.
Think of a paid feature as a multiplier. It multiplies whatever is already there, so a strong set of photos gains from it and a weak one gains nothing. Fix the photos first.
Is it worth buying
Do not start at the top just because it is the top tier.
The sensible order is the free app first, then a single paid tier for a month if you have good photos and you are matching but moving slowly. Count what happens. Note how many Likes you sent, how many matched and how many replied to your first line.
a dating coach's rule for anything you can pay for on a dating app is to try it once, see whether it changes your results, and drop it if it does not. That rule applies even more to the most expensive tier.
Who should skip it
If your matches are rare, Platinum is the wrong fix. A man with few matches has a photo problem or a swiping problem, and a top tier only makes weak cards arrive faster.
If you match but conversations die in the first couple of lines, the weak point is the first message. Write about something specific on her page, ask a question she can answer in a sentence, and do that for two weeks before paying anyone.
The short version
Buy Platinum inside the Tinder app through Settings, and nowhere else. Treat it as a speed boost for photos that already work, and test one tier for a month before you decide it belongs in your budget.
