Start with Tinder, which says it is available in most countries and names only Russia and Belarus as exceptions. Then try a second app for two weeks in your own city. Our material does not rank the dating apps Egyptian women prefer, and an invented list would be worse than none. The honest method is to install two, treat your matches and the replies to your messages as the score, and keep the one that gets you to a plan.
What the availability lists tell you
Tinder is the easy first stop. Its own wording is that it works in most of the world, and Egypt is not one of the two places it has closed. An account you already have should open and run when you arrive.
Feeld is the opposite case. Feeld lists Egypt among the countries where it has removed the app, so do not plan around it.
Facebook Dating keeps its own list of countries on a help page. The countries we have read from that page include the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Philippines and Thailand, and they do not include Egypt. Lists change, so look at Facebook's page yourself before you decide.
For any other app, use the page the company publishes and the store for your region. A forum post from two years ago is the wrong source. Use the version of the app your store offers you, and never fake your location to get a different one. That breaks the rules of most apps and can get your account removed.
Your city matters more than the country
A country-wide list cannot tell you how many women are using an app in your city this month. A man in a large city and a man in a small town can have very different experiences with the same app, so each place is its own test.
Spend a few evenings looking before you pay for anything. Set a sensible distance and note how many women you see, how recently they were active, and whether the same faces keep returning. A thin local pool is the one problem a subscription cannot fix.
Say whether you live there or are visiting
If you live in Egypt, say so. If you are visiting, say that and say until when. A woman who learns on the third message that you fly home on Sunday may feel misled, and the evening is gone. Saying it early filters for women who are fine with it and saves you both time.
a dating coach's general view of online dating is that a clear, honest page works as a filter, because the women who like what they read are the ones you wanted.
Write in her language, or keep yours plain
If you can write a line in her language, even an imperfect one, it shows effort. If you cannot, keep your English short and clear. Skip slang and jokes that depend on a pun, because she may have to translate each sentence.
One specific question about something she wrote does more than a clever paragraph. Mention a real detail from her page, ask one thing she can answer in a sentence, and let her reply.
Let her set the pace
Customs about dating differ by family, city and woman, and you should not assume what a particular woman is comfortable with. Some women keep their pages sparse or prefer a public first meeting. Treat that as ordinary. Do not push for more pictures, a private place or an early move to another app.
Suggest a public place that is easy for her to reach and easy to leave, such as a café, in daylight or early evening. Arrive on time, put your phone away and let the conversation set the length.
Check who you are talking to
Fake accounts exist on every app in every country, and the cheapest defense is a short video call before you travel across a city to meet someone. A woman who always has a reason not to be on video has told you something.
Treat any request for money as the end of the conversation, whatever the story. That includes a medical bill, a phone top-up or a fee to meet you. If a match pushes you to another app in her first few messages, slow down and watch what she asks for next.
Run a two-week test
Install two apps and give each the same attention for two weeks. Write down how many women you liked, how many liked you back, how many replied and how many agreed to meet.
Be selective. a dating coach says an app reads a man who likes everybody as less attractive and shows him fewer of the women he wants. Like the women you would truly write to.
At the end of the fortnight, keep the app that produced more plans for the same effort. That result is worth more than any ranking, including this one.
