Our material does not name a best dating site for meeting Filipino women, and a ranking we invented would be worse than none. What it does show is useful. Facebook Dating lists the Philippines among its countries, Tinder says it is available in most of the world, and Feeld has removed its app from the Philippines. Start with the first two, test them where she lives, and keep the one where your matches answer your messages.
What the lists say
Facebook publishes the countries where Dating is offered. The Philippines is on that list, alongside Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. Being in a listed country is only one condition, though, because Facebook says it may also restrict which accounts get Dating. Open the app and look for it before you build a plan around it.
Tinder says it is available in most countries and names only Russia and Belarus as exceptions. That makes it the simplest default if you want something that works on arrival.
Feeld is the one to cross off. It lists the Philippines among the countries where it has removed the app.
For every other site or app, read the company's own availability page and the store for your region. Lists change, and a post from a few years ago will not tell you today's answer.
Judge a niche site before you pay
Some sites describe themselves as meeting places for men and women from different countries. Our material does not review them one by one, so judge any of them with the same questions you would ask of an app.
- What does free get you? On most sites you can build a page and look around for nothing, and paying is what lets you write. Look around first. A site that asks for money before you have seen a real woman near you has not earned it.
- What does verification mean? A verified photo tells you the face matches the account. It does not tell you her job, her age or what she wants. Treat it as one good sign, not proof.
- What does it ask of you? Be wary of anything that sells introductions, contact details or a woman's time. A dating site charges for access to its members, and nothing more should be for sale.
None of these sites publishes how many women near you are active on it, so use the free version to count them yourself.
Write to her, not to a nationality
Her country is a fact about her, and it is rarely the most interesting one. A message that opens with her nationality could have gone to ten thousand women, and she can tell. A message that mentions the trip she described, the dish she is cooking or the job she wrote about shows that you read her page.
Ask one question she can answer in a sentence. Then listen to the answer, because her answer is where the conversation actually starts.
Say where you are and what you want
If you live near her, say so. If you are visiting, say that and say until when. A woman who learns after three messages that you leave in a week may feel misled, and you lose the evening. Saying it early filters for women who are fine with it.
Say plainly what you are looking for as well. a dating coach's point about online dating is that an honest page filters well, because the women who like what they read are the ones you wanted.
Keep the wording simple
If English is not her first language, short sentences win. Avoid slang and long jokes, and choose one clear question over a clever paragraph she has to translate. Once she has said yes to meeting, you can ask which messaging app she likes so the plan does not get lost.
Check who you are talking to
Fake and misleading accounts exist everywhere, and the cheapest defense is a short video call before you travel to meet someone. Treat any request for money as the end of the conversation, whatever the reason given. If a match pushes you to another app very early or always has a reason not to speak on video, you have learned what you needed to know.
Suggest a public place that is simple for her to reach and easy to leave. A café or a lunch is plenty. Arrive early, put your phone away and let her set the pace. A warm manner is not an invitation, so if you want to know where you stand, ask her plainly and take the answer calmly.
Test two for two weeks
Install two options and give each the same attention for a fortnight. Keep a tally of women liked, likes returned, replies and plans made. Like only the women you would really write to, since a dating coach says an app reads a man who likes everyone as less attractive and shows him fewer of the women he wants.
When the two weeks end, keep the one that produced more plans for the same effort and drop the other.
