You cannot apply for a place in Hinge Standouts, and you cannot buy one. Hinge's help center gives no way to do either. Standouts is a feed of the people catching the most attention on Hinge. Hinge ties that attention to the quality of a page, so the part you control is your photos and your written answers.
Men often look for a button or a setting. There is none.
Hinge describes Standouts as a feed of people who are catching the most attention. It is not a list you join, and its help pages do not offer a way to request a spot or pay for one. If a site or a stranger tells you they can get you into Standouts for a fee, they are selling something Hinge does not offer.
What Standouts is
Each person's Standouts feed is tailored to his preferences and his recent activity. A new batch appears daily. So the feed changes from one person to the next, and from one day to the next.
Anyone who finds a page in Standouts can only send a Rose, not a regular like. For a man, that is useful to know in reverse. If a woman sends you a Rose from there, she picked you on purpose. Answer her promptly.
Paid features are a different thing
The paid features most often confused with Standouts are HingeX's Get Seen by More Daters and a Boost. Both raise your visibility in Discover. Neither is Standouts.
Discover is the main feed. Standouts is the separate list of people drawing the most attention. Paying for a boost makes more people see you in the first. It does not put you in the second.
So if your goal is to be seen more, a paid feature can help on the main feed. But it is not a shortcut into Standouts, and nothing Hinge says suggests it is.
What Hinge ties to attention
Hinge's help page on why you may not be getting matches points at the quality of your page. Fresh photos and strong prompt answers are the part Hinge puts in your hands.
That is not a secret trick. It is a plain description. A page that looks like a real man with a real week gets more attention than one that does not. The same help material notes that many people never update their page after the first week, which means a page that is kept current stands out.
Photos first
a dating coach puts photos at the top of his list. His point is that a woman swiping sees your first photo before anything else, and if it turns her off, the rest of your page never gets read.
His advice is about technique, not looks. Good light, a clear view of your face, a flattering angle and a willingness to take a hundred shots and keep two. A friend with a phone or an inexpensive local photographer will do. He says a man does not need to be handsome. He needs a photo that is taken well.
Replace anything old. If you have been using the same pictures since the day you signed up, those are the first to change.
Then the prompts
Prompt answers are where a woman learns whether you are someone she would want to talk to.
Write the way you talk. Pick one specific thing about your week, such as the thing you cook, the place you go on a Sunday or the project you are in the middle of, and answer with that. A vague answer says nothing. A specific one gives her something to reply to.
Change an answer when it stops being true. A page that was accurate in the first week and is stale a few months later reads as a man who has stopped trying.
Do not spend money chasing a feed
It is easy to take a missing place in Standouts as a verdict. It is not one. Most good matches on Hinge come from Discover, where a woman sees a page that fits her preferences and likes it.
Put the effort into the page first. If your photos and answers are strong and you are still getting few likes, you can test a paid feature for a few weeks and count the results. a dating coach's advice is to try a feature once and see whether it changes anything.
Then do the part no feed can do. When a woman matches with you, send a specific first message and suggest a plan within a handful of texts.
