There are two usual reasons. The first is about your plan. The list of people who liked you, called Likes You, is only available to Tinder Gold and Tinder Platinum subscribers, so on a free account there is nothing to load. The second is a connection or service problem, and Tinder's fixes are a stronger internet connection, a reinstall, Tinder.com, or patience. Once the likes load, the job is turning them into matches and messages that lead to a date.

Check your plan first

Likes You is the feature that shows you who has liked you before you decide whether to Like or Nope them. Tinder says it is only for Gold and Platinum subscribers.

If you are on a free account, or on Tinder Plus, the screen will not fill in because the feature is not part of your plan. That is not a glitch. A man can lose a lot of time reinstalling the app to fix something that was never switched on.

If you are a subscriber, the likes grid opens from the sparkle icon on the main screen. There you can also see how many people have already liked you.

If you are a subscriber and it still will not load

Work through Tinder's steps in order, and only move on when one does not help:

  • Check that you have a strong internet connection. Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
  • Delete the app and install it again.
  • If you use the iOS or Android app, try Tinder.com in a browser.
  • For photos that will not load, log out and back in. Open the profile icon, then Settings, scroll down and tap Logout.

The reinstall is safe. Deleting the app does not delete your account, so you sign back in to the same one.

If none of those steps work, Tinder says it is more than likely having some level of service degradation. It asks users to be patient while it gets things running again.

That means the likes are probably still there. Close the app, do something else, and look again later. Hitting refresh forty times does nothing, and reinstalling over and over only wastes your evening.

What a like does and does not tell you

A like is one tap by a woman who saw your photos for a few seconds. It tells you she did not skip you, nothing more.

a dating coach's point about online dating is that a few men get most of the matches and the average man gets almost nothing. So a grid with a few likes in it is not a verdict on you in either direction. It is a list of women to answer, and answering is where results come from.

Be as picky with your own taps

A full grid tempts a man to Like everyone back. a dating coach says the apps notice when you have no standards, and from his experience the app then shows you women who are not a particular standard. That is his observation, not a published rule.

Like back the women you would be glad to meet. Skip the rest without guilt. Ten conversations you want beat forty you have to force yourself to answer.

Turn the likes into matches and messages

Pick two or three women and write to them the same day. a dating coach says the most common failure after a match is one message that goes nowhere, or a pen pal chat that never turns into a plan.

Mention one specific thing from her photos. Ask something she can answer in a sentence. Then suggest a day and a place within a few messages. Do not let a liked-you grid sit for a week while you decide.

Do you need Gold just to see this

Most men do not. a dating coach's view is that paid features multiply what you already get and add nothing to zero. If your photos and first lines get you some matches without paying, a month of Gold is a fair test. If they get you none, fix those first.

The short answer

If you are not on Gold or Platinum, Likes You has nothing to show. If you are, check your connection, reinstall, try Tinder.com, and then wait. When the likes appear, answer the women you like quickly and suggest a plan.
