We do not have a ranking of the dating apps that lead in Israel, and a made-up list would be worse than none. What works for dating apps in Israel works anywhere. Install the big three, Tinder, Hinge and Bumble. Count how many women show up near you in two evenings, and ask people who live there which app they use. Keep the one that gives you dates. The best app is the one the women in your city actually open.
Why we are not giving you a list
Which app is busy changes from one country to the next, and from one city to the next inside a country. An app that is full in one city can be quiet an hour away. A ranking written from outside would be a guess, and a guess is how a man ends up spending a month on an empty app.
So the useful answer is a method. It takes two evenings and costs nothing.
The two evening test
Download the apps you already know. Set up the same photos and the same few lines on each. Then open each one for a short session over two evenings and look at what you see.
Note how many women the app shows you near your location before it runs dry. If you keep seeing new faces for two evenings, the crowd is real. If it runs dry after a handful, the app is quiet where you live and you can drop it.
Check the app store listing before you set anything up. If the app is not offered where you are, no test is needed.
Ask people who live there
If you are new to the country, do not guess for long. Ask two local friends, a coworker or a language teacher which app they and their friends use. If one of them is a woman, her answer is worth more than any list.
Then install what she names and run the same test. If a friend names an app you have never heard of, that is a reason to try it, not to skip it.
Match the language to the woman
Women read the app in the language they use every day. If you write only in English and she reads another language more easily, your message may be skipped or misread.
Decide who you want to meet. A man who writes a few honest lines in her language, or in both, signals effort. Do not claim a fluency you do not have, because a video call or a first date shows it in a minute. Keep messages short and clear, since a long, clever message is hard to translate. Something plain and specific works in any language, such as a question about the beach she photographed and whether the coffee nearby is any good.
Say if you live there or are visiting
On any app the strongest move is honesty about your purpose, and it matters more across a distance or a language. If you live there, say so. If you are visiting for a few weeks, say that too.
If she learns halfway through the second date that your flight is next week, she will remember it as a trick. Say it in the first lines and the women who stay are the ones who are fine with it.
Where you live changes the dates
a dating coach says logistics shape results more than men expect. In New York he says it is easy to get women to come to Manhattan and hard to get them to come to the outer boroughs, and the same idea holds in any city. A plan that is easy for her to reach gets a yes.
So suggest a simple place near where she is, name a day, and keep the first date short. A coffee beats an evening of travel.
Run two apps for two weeks
a dating coach says each app has its own algorithm and its own mix of people, so a man can fail on one and do well on another. Keep it simple. Choose the two that showed the most women in your test, give them the same photos, and run them for two weeks.
Count your matches, your replies, and the plans that turned into dates. Keep whichever gives you dates and drop the other. Photos come first and a specific first message comes second, and both matter more than the logo on the app.
