Seeing who Likes you on Match starts with the Silver subscription tier, and it is included in Platinum and Diamond as well. Messages from members you haven't matched with also show up in your Likes tab. You tap the sender's photo to preview the message, and you can reply from there.

Which tiers show you who Likes you

The list of people who Like you is a paid feature, and Silver is the first tier that includes it. Platinum and Diamond include it too, alongside whatever else those tiers add.

So if you are on Silver or above and still can't see who Likes you, check which tier your account is actually on before assuming something is broken. If you are below Silver, the answer is simply that your plan doesn't include it.

Where your Likes show up

Everything lives in your Likes tab. That is where you see the women who Liked you, and it is also where Match puts messages from members you haven't matched with.

That second part catches men out. A woman can write to you before the two of you have matched, and her message won't sit with your other conversations. It lands in Likes. Tap her photo to preview what she wrote, then reply if you want to.

Check that tab every time you open the app. A message from a woman who took the trouble to write first is worth answering quickly, and it is easy to miss if you only ever look at your conversations.

Answering a woman who wrote first

A message in your Likes tab from a woman you haven't matched with is worth more than most men treat it. She looked at you, liked what she saw, and made the effort to write.

Answer it the way you would want to be answered. Read her page before you reply, so your answer shows you paid attention. Pick up what she said and add something of your own, a detail from your week or a playful guess about her, instead of a polite "thanks, how are you". Then steer toward meeting sooner than feels normal. She has already done the hard part by opening, and most women welcome a man who takes it from there.

Why this beats swiping blind

Most of online dating is guesswork. You show interest in a woman and hope she feels the same. The list of who Likes you removes the guess, because every name on it has already told you she's interested.

a dating coach puts a lot of value on anything that lets you choose who you talk to instead of waiting for the app to decide for you. Being able to see who Likes you is a version of that. You stop spending your effort on women who never looked twice at you and start with the ones who already did.

It also changes how the first message feels. You aren't writing to a stranger who has to be won over. You are answering a woman who made the first move. That is an easy, confident place to start.

Answer the same day

A Like has a short shelf life. The woman who Liked you on Tuesday is also talking to other men, and one of them is going to suggest a drink before the week is out.

My rule is that the point of being online is to get offline. He usually gets from a first message to a woman's number in four to seven messages. Keep yours short, react to one real detail from her page, and bring up the idea of meeting early, as a light suggestion rather than a formal invitation. A woman who already Liked you needs very little convincing. What she needs is a man who moves it forward.

Don't Like everyone back

When a list of admirers appears, the temptation is to return every Like on it. Resist that.

coach has coached plenty of men who hurt their results by showing interest in nearly everyone. When he got them to stop, they sent far fewer Likes and got far better results. Some of the women on your list won't be women you would take on a date. Leave them alone.

Go through the list with one question: would I actually be glad to sit across a table from her this week? If yes, answer her. If you're not sure, look at every one of her photos and read what she wrote before deciding.

Is Silver worth it for this alone?

My view on paid dating features is that they are multipliers. They make good results bigger, and they can't rescue results that are zero.

So look at your free weeks first. If women are Liking you and some of those Likes turn into conversations, seeing the full list is well worth testing for a month. If almost nobody is Liking you, the list will be short and paying won't change that. Work on your photos and what you wrote about yourself, get the free numbers moving, and then pay to see who Likes you.
