Open Settings, go to App Settings, tap Pause account and confirm. While you are paused you cannot use Feeld, you disappear from Discover, and your connections can neither see your page nor send you a message. Log back in within 12 months and everything is as you left it. Stay away longer and the account is deleted for good.
The steps
- Open Settings.
- Go to App Settings.
- Tap Pause account.
- Confirm.
To come back, log in again. As long as it is within 12 months, your account reactivates with everything intact.
A pause on Feeld is a full stop
On some apps, pausing only stops new people from seeing you while your chats carry on. Feeld's pause goes further.
While you are paused, you cannot use the app at all. You do not appear in Discover. And the people you are already connected with cannot see your page or send you anything. Every conversation stops until you log back in.
That makes it a different tool from hiding. If you only want to stop new arrivals and keep talking to the women you have, Feeld's Hide profile setting does that. Pause is for when you want the whole thing switched off.
Tell your matches before you pause
Because your connections cannot reach you while you are paused, a pause without a word looks exactly like you vanished.
So before you tap the button, go through your conversations. If one is close to a date, set the date first, or swap numbers so you can keep talking off the app. a dating coach's approach to messaging is built around leaving the app early anyway. He aims to get a woman's number within four to seven messages, so a pause should never cost you a conversation that was going well.
For everyone else, one short line is enough. You are stepping away from the app for a while, and you would still like to get that drink. A woman who knows why you went quiet may wait. One left guessing will not.
The 12-month deadline
The clock matters. Feeld keeps a paused account for 12 months. Log back in within that time and your account comes back intact. If you do not, it is permanently deleted.
If you think you might want the account later, put a reminder in your calendar a few weeks before the year runs out. Logging in once is all it takes to keep it.
A pause also covers your account, not your payments. If you pay for Majestic, look at the subscription in the App Store or Google Play before you go, since that is where Feeld subscriptions are cancelled.
Use the break well
Time away is worth something. Most men come back calmer and more patient, and it shows in how they write.
But a pause does nothing to what women see when you return. If poor results were part of the reason you stepped away, spend some of the time on your page. Put one clear photo of your face in daylight in the first slot and drop the weakest few. Then rewrite anything generic into a few details about your actual life.
A break is also the easiest time to get new photos, because you are not in a hurry. Ask a friend with a decent phone to spend an afternoon with you outside. Bring a couple of changes of clothes you really wear, and shoot in the spots where you really spend your time. coach lists the easy photo mistakes men make: dim shots, photos where you do not look your best, and dull settings that say nothing about your life. An unhurried afternoon fixes all three.
Then show the new set to someone who will be honest with you, and ask which photo they would lead with. It is rarely the one you would pick.
Coming back
Log in, and your account and connections are there waiting.
Then ease back in rather than rushing. coach has found that paid visibility tends to do well right after a stretch away, when an app has not shown you to many people lately. If you plan to buy an Uplift at some point, your first days back are a sensible time for it.
Either way, like a handful of women you genuinely want to talk to, and answer anyone who wrote before you left. Then pick a pace you can keep. A few short sessions a week will serve you better than one big night followed by another disappearance.
