Open Settings, go to App Settings, tap Delete account and confirm on the next screen. Deleting is permanent, and it does not cancel a Majestic subscription, so cancel that separately in the App Store or Google Play. Feeld says it deletes the data of a terminated account within 90 days.

The steps

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to App Settings.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm on the next screen.

There is no undo. Once you confirm, the account is gone for good.

Cancel Majestic separately

This is the step men miss. Deleting your account does not cancel a Majestic subscription.

Majestic is cancelled through the store you bought it from, so open the App Store or Google Play and cancel it there. Do it before you delete, or straight after. Otherwise you are still subscribed to a membership on an account that no longer exists.

Save the matches worth keeping

Before you delete, go through your conversations. Deleting is permanent, so any woman you have not swapped numbers with is lost the moment you confirm.

If a conversation is going well, move it off the app first. a dating coach's approach is to leave the app early anyway. He aims to go from first message to her number in four to seven messages, with plans mentioned along the way so that asking for the number feels natural. If you are close to that point with someone, send the message that finishes it. A short, direct line suggesting the drink you have been talking about, with your number in it, is enough.

Consider pausing instead

If there is any chance you will want to come back, pausing may suit you better. Feeld keeps a paused account for 12 months, and logging back in within that time brings everything back as it was. Deleting throws all of that away.

Pause is the better choice if you are stepping back for a relationship that is still new, a demanding stretch at work, or a few months away. Delete is the better choice when you are sure.

If you are leaving the dating apps because they were not working

Plenty of men delete an app because the results were poor, then sign up again months later with the same photos and the same words. That gets the same results.

If poor results are the reason, the problem was probably your page, not the app. coach is blunt that nobody gets good results from photos that are average, dull, low quality or badly lit. He also points out that better photos help twice: women like you more, and the app notices and shows you more widely. A dim first photo, a crowded group shot, or a page that says nothing specific about your life will do the same job on whatever app you try next.

Deleting and rejoining is not a fresh start either. A new account with the same photos and the same words gets looked at by the same kinds of women, and they make the same decision. coach has seen men do well on an app for a while, then make careless changes and suddenly struggle to get anything. The fix both ways is the same. Change your page on purpose, one clear improvement at a time, and watch what it does to your likes before you change the next thing.

If you do come back one day, lead with a recent photo of your face in daylight, cut anything blurry or crowded, and write a few lines about your real week that a stranger could reply to.

Some men delete the apps on purpose, to push themselves to meet women in person instead. That is a real choice, and some coaches recommend it for exactly that reason. Just make it a decision, not a reaction to one bad month.

Before you tap delete

Run through this first:

  1. Cancel Majestic in the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Swap numbers with anyone you want to keep talking to.
  3. Decide whether a pause would serve you better.
  4. Go to Settings, App Settings, Delete account, and confirm.

Then it is done. If you ever come back to Feeld, you start from nothing, so come back with photos and words that are better than the ones you left with.
