eharmony does not print one price in its help center, and prices change, so the number you want is the one it shows you. Log in, press the Upgrade to Premium button, and the Subscription page lists the membership terms and the cost for your account. What is stable is the structure: joining is free on a Basic membership, and Premium is the paid tier, sold in 6, 12 or 24 month plans.
Where to find your price
Everyone starts free. After you sign up and log in, the Upgrade to Premium button takes you to the Subscription page. That page is the source for what you would pay, and it is the only place worth trusting, because a figure quoted in a forum or an old article may be out of date by the time you read it.
eharmony also runs its own Australian site with its own FAQ for members there. If you live in Australia, use that version. It is written for your market, and any detail about your plan will be answered there before it is answered in a general article.
The three plan lengths
Premium comes in 6, 12 or 24 months. There is no shorter option, and eharmony says you cannot pay for just one month.
That shapes the decision more than the headline price does. A longer plan ties you in for longer and means a bigger total bill. You are choosing between how much you pay in total and how long you are committed, and the Subscription page shows you the actual terms for each length.
For a man who has not used the site yet, the shortest plan is still half a year. Ask yourself whether you would keep paying if the first month produced nothing.
What you can do without paying
Basic is free and has no time limit. eharmony says it includes unlimited matches and the ability to send and receive Likes. You can take the Compatibility Quiz, fill in your page and see who the site suggests.
That is enough to test whether the women near you are worth paying to reach. Find out how many members fit your age range and distance, and see whether any of them like you back. If the list is empty at your settings, a paid plan will not fill it.
eharmony says it also periodically offers free trials to new members. Check for one before you buy.
Discounts and coupons
eharmony says it does not do coupons. It does sometimes offer discounts to Basic members, and those appear on the Subscription page with the discount already applied to the cost shown.
So there is no code to hunt for. If a discount exists for your account, you will see it when you open the page. A website offering you a promo code for eharmony is not offering something eharmony has said it provides.
How you can pay
eharmony accepts four kinds of credit card: Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. It also accepts debit cards with a Visa or Mastercard logo, and PayPal.
If you buy through the Apple or Google app stores instead, the charge goes through the store, and cancelling is done there too. Know which route you used, because the place you pay is the place you cancel.
Is it worth the money
The honest way to answer this is by results, not price. a dating coach's rule for any paid feature on a dating app is to test it and judge it by what it produces. A plan that costs a lot and gives you five dates is cheap. A plan that costs less and gives you none is expensive.
Premium adds unlimited messaging, seeing all member photos, seeing who has viewed you, distance search and your Personality Profile. Those help a man who already writes good first messages and has strong photos. They will not rescue a page with weak photos.
A sensible way to buy
Join free and finish the quiz. Set up two or three good daylight photos. Write to women whose pages you actually like, one specific detail in each message. After two weeks, count how many answered, how many agreed to meet and how many dates happened.
If you are getting replies and you keep hitting a limit, paying makes sense, and you will know which plan length you can live with. If you are getting nothing, fix the photos and the first line first, and spend nothing until the free version shows signs of life.
