There is no single price. Match sells Super Likes in packs of a few different sizes, and the price you pay depends on the pack you pick. The number appears on the purchase screen, so that screen is the only figure to trust. Premium subscribers also get one Super Like each week at no extra charge, which for many men is the cheapest way to use one. Whatever you pay, it only buys a better chance at more matches, and the messages you write after that decide the rest.
Where to buy them
Open the Highlights tab in the top navigation bar and select the purple Super Likes button. That takes you to the packs.
Match changes its prices and pack sizes from time to time, so a figure quoted in an article goes out of date. Read the screen on the day you buy, look at what each pack costs, and work out the price of a single Super Like by dividing it yourself.
The free one that comes with Premium
A Premium subscription includes one Super Like each week. If you already pay for Premium, you have a Super Like to spend before you buy anything.
There is a catch. The ones that come with a subscription expire after a month, so an unused weekly Super Like is a wasted one. The ones you buy in a pack do not expire.
That difference changes how you should spend them. Use the subscription ones first, since they vanish if you wait, and keep the ones you bought for later.
What the price buys
A Super Like gives your page priority placement in the Recommended Matches of the woman you send it to. Match says a member is more likely to match when sending one.
So you are paying for a better position in front of one woman, not for a result. It is a small advantage, and its value depends on what she finds when she opens your page. Bought on top of weak pictures and a dull opening, it gets a woman to look at the weak parts a little sooner.
The cost of not choosing carefully
Because a Super Like costs real money when you buy a pack, the habit that wastes the most is spending them on the most attractive women you can find. a dating coach points out that the most attractive women on an app already have a huge pile of men swiping on them. A Super Like from a stranger with nothing to say is one more item in that pile.
Spend them on the women you would actually message. That means a woman who lives close, who wrote something on her page you could ask about, and who sounds like someone you would be glad to meet.
Highlights, the add-on
Highlights is a paid add-on that shows up to a few profiles a day, and you can Super Like or dismiss each one. Match describes it as a short daily list, not a crowd.
This is a calm way to use a Super Like. You are not scrolling endlessly. You look at a handful, pick the one that fits, and spend a Super Like on it.
Test it cheaply
a dating coach's advice on paying for dating features is to treat each one as a test. Pay once for something small, see whether it changes your results, and drop it if it does not. He also warns that paid features are multipliers, and a multiplier on a result of zero is still zero.
For Super Likes, that gives a simple plan. If you already have a subscription, use the weekly one for a month and watch what happens. If you buy a pack, buy the smallest one, send a few to women you truly like, and count how many reply. If the answer is close to none, the problem is not your supply of Super Likes.
What to do when a Super Like works
A Super Like that earns a match gives you one thing: her attention for a moment. Do not waste it with an opener that says "hey."
Read her page, find one specific detail, and write a line about it that she could answer in one sentence. My approach is a few short messages that move to a plan, instead of weeks of back and forth.
The short version
Super Likes cost whatever the pack on the purchase screen says, and a Premium subscription gives you one each week. Use the ones that expire first, spend them on women you really want to meet, and judge the purchase by the replies it earns.
