Miami is the one city where Cold Approach publishes scheduled Group Bootcamp weekends, each running Friday to Sunday. Matthew Stevens, a co-founder and head coach, leads every one of them. You choose a weekend and spend three days in person approaching women in the field, daygame by day and nightgame at night. A Private Bootcamp can also be done in Miami over three consecutive days, with the dates worked out with you once you have booked.
How a Miami weekend works
For Group, you pick one of the scheduled weekends and complete your booking with instant checkout.
Before the weekend you talk with your coach on a short intro call, where he sets the exact times with you. Meeting and preparation details come after booking and are not published.
A Group weekend caps each coach at three students, and every man's own approaches still earn feedback. A Private Bootcamp is a coach and one student, hour after hour.
Each student takes home a short written practice plan that sorts what is working from what needs attention and says where to focus next. He also keeps access to the private community Slack once his coach has added him.
Three days of daygame and nightgame
The coaching is in the field, not in a room. In daylight you approach women on the street and in cafes, and after dark you do it in bars and lounges. Your coach coaches live on every approach, then gives you feedback after every set.
Count it up: two sessions of four hours each day, 24 hours over the weekend. The coach decides how much of each style to do by looking at what you most need to improve.
What a dating coach says about going out in Miami
a dating coach describes Miami as a nightlife and party city that attracts a lot of tourists, and he points out that it has more going on than nightlife alone. He also likes the weather: the summer is hot but tolerable, and he calls the winter beautiful, which makes Miami a place you can go all year round.
Treat that as one experienced coach's impression of the city, not a promise about any weekend.
Miami as any visitor finds it
From here on this is Miami as any visitor would find it, not a list of where the Bootcamp goes. Your exact schedule is set with you after booking.
South Beach is where many people start. Lincoln Road is a pedestrian mall lined with shops, restaurants and galleries. Ocean Drive is the easternmost street, known for its Art Deco buildings and its lively nightlife, and Washington Avenue carries more of the same after dark. South Beach is busy by day and at night, and many people there get around on foot.
On the mainland, Wynwood is a district of street art, restaurants, breweries and dance venues. Brickell is the financial district, with restaurants, shops and galleries. Coconut Grove has open-air and streetside cafes and bars, and the Design District mixes shopping, dining and culture.
Anyone who wants to talk to a stranger in a city this spread out will find something different in each of them.
Miami and Miami Beach are different places
Miami Beach is a separate city, with Biscayne Bay between it and the mainland. They are two places, not two neighbourhoods.
On the mainland, Metromover is an automated people mover that serves Downtown Miami and Brickell. On the beach side, a free trolley circles the area from morning until late evening, but it does not run through the night.
Heat, the drier winter and hurricane season
Summers are hot and humid, though afternoon thunderstorms often take the edge off. Winters are short and warm, with a drier season. Hurricane season covers the summer and the autumn.
That matters most if you are weighing a Private Bootcamp, because its days are arranged with you. The heat and hurricane season are both worth raising with your coach when you settle them. Should your plans shift, let us know in good time and the Bootcamp can be moved a single time, to a future date.
Spanish
Spanish is widely spoken in Miami. Expect to hear it on the street, in cafes and in a bar after dark. It is one more reason the first few seconds of a conversation matter. When you walk up to her, a warm hello in either language costs you nothing.
