Why Feeld Shows the Wrong Location

Usually Feeld is set to a saved location rather than your current one, or the app simply has not refreshed. Go to Settings, Search settings, Location and make sure Current location is selected. Then force close and reopen the app, or log out and back in, and check that Feeld has location permission in your phone's settings.

1. Open Settings.
2. Tap Search settings.
3. Tap Location.
4. Make sure Current location is selected.
5. Force close Feeld and open it again. If that does not work, log out and log back in.

Start there before you try anything else. It is the quickest check, and it is the first one Feeld itself points you to.

If Feeld still shows the wrong place, the problem may be your phone rather than the app. Open your phone's settings, find Feeld, and make sure it has permission to use your location.

With that permission off, the app has no way of knowing where you are, however many times you restart it.

On most phones you will find it by opening the main Settings app and scrolling to Feeld, or by looking in the privacy or location section for a list of apps. Once you have switched it on, go back to Feeld and repeat the steps above.

Open Discover and look at who you are seeing. If the people in your feed are from your area again, the location is right.

If they are still from the wrong place, go back through each step in order rather than jumping to a reinstall. Check Current location, restart the app, check the phone permission, then log out and back in. Only reinstall once all of that has failed.

Sometimes the location is fine and the feed still shows people who seem far away. That is usually your filters, not your location. Check your maximum distance in Discover. A distance set far wider than you would travel for a first date fills your feed with women you will never realistically see, whatever your location says.

If nothing else works, you can delete the app and install it again. Feeld says reinstalling does not lose your profile or your connections, so the women you are talking to will still be there when you log back in.

If you live outside a major city, your page may show the name of a nearby city instead of your town. That does not mean your location is wrong. It is simply how Feeld labels where you are.

So before you start troubleshooting, check whether the wrong-looking location is just the closest big city to you. If it is, nothing is broken.

A wrong location does more than make your feed look strange. It points every like you send at women you are unlikely to ever see.

The damage shows up later. You connect, you chat for a few days, and then one of you realizes the other is two hours away. The conversation fades, and you have spent a week on a woman you were never going to take out.

If you have moved or are in a new city, the fix is the same. Make sure Current location is selected and let the app refresh, so you see the people who are actually around you.

If you are planning a trip and set your location somewhere else on purpose, be upfront about it. Say on your page when you will be in town. A woman who knows you are visiting next week can plan around it. A woman who thinks you live nearby and then learns you do not will feel misled, and she will be right.
