Top Picks goes missing for a few specific reasons. Tinder's help center says that when Discovery is turned off in Settings, you cannot view recommendations or Like anyone new. It also says a page with no detectable valid face photo is hidden from other people, and a hidden page cannot use features such as Likes, Super Likes and Boost. And only one Top Pick a day is free, so a free user sees a single card, not a full set.
Check Discovery first
Open Settings in Tinder and look at Discovery. Tinder says that when Discovery is off, you cannot view recommendations or Like anyone new.
That covers Top Picks, since Top Picks is a recommendation feature. If you switched Discovery off to hide for a while and forgot, this is the fix. Turn it back on, then look again.
Check that your photos have a face
Tinder says a profile is hidden from other people when it has no detectable valid face photo. A hidden profile cannot use features such as Likes, Super Likes and Boost.
That can look like a missing feature, because the tools you expect are not responding. Check that your lead photo shows your face clearly, alone, in good light, with no sunglasses or hat blocking it. A set of photos with no clear single face is the kind of page Tinder says it hides.
This is also the cheapest fix, since a better lead photo helps your results everywhere else too.
Free users get one, not a set
Tinder's Top Picks is a curated list of potential matches. TechCrunch reported at the worldwide launch that one Top Pick is available to all users each day, while paying Tinder Gold subscribers get a full set.
So if you are on the free tier and you see one card, that is how the feature works. It is not a bug and not a punishment. Gold is the tier that opens the full list.
It refreshes daily
TechCrunch reported that Top Picks refreshes every day. If you looked at it, handled the card or cards, and came back an hour later, there may be nothing new until the refresh.
Come back the next day. Do not keep opening the screen, since the same set will be there.
Some features are limited by market
Tinder says Most Compatible, and some other recommendation features, are only available on Android and iOS in select markets. If a friend in another city has something you do not, location is a plausible reason.
There is nothing for you to fix in that case, and no setting that forces it on.
How Top Picks are chosen
TechCrunch reported that Top Picks draws on details such as education, type of job, and hobbies and interests. It also uses a user's previous swiping behavior. It groups people into categories like foodie, creative or adventurer.
That is why a page with little filled in can produce a thin or odd set. The more real detail a man's page carries, the more the app has to work with.
While you wait
Do not stand around waiting for a feature. Use the main deck, and spend the time on the thing that moves your results: the photos and the first line.
a dating coach's testing rule fits here. Change one thing, such as your lead photo, and compare your likes and matches over the same days the week before. A better photo helps whether or not Top Picks is showing.
If it still is not there
If Discovery is on, your lead photo shows a clear face, and you have waited a day, contact Tinder through the help center and describe what you see. Say which phone you use, where you are, and whether you are on the free tier.
That detail lets them tell you whether the feature is offered where you are.
