Nowhere that Tinder describes, because its help center lists no Platinum gift card. What it does sell is a Tinder gift card, which redeems for one month of Tinder Gold. Those cards are sold online in the US, at Tinder.com/giftcard, and nowhere else. If you see a "Platinum gift card" for sale somewhere, Tinder has not confirmed it exists.
The one place Tinder sells cards
Tinder's help center says gift cards are available for purchase in the US, and only online, at Tinder.com/giftcard. Tinder does not point you to a shop or a card rack.
So the first rule is simple. If the seller is not Tinder.com, you are not buying the card Tinder describes. That does not prove a listing elsewhere is fake, but it means Tinder's own pages give you no way to check it.
What the card gives you
The card is worth one month of Tinder Gold. It does not expire. It can be redeemed as long as the account you are redeeming it on has no active subscription.
If there is an active subscription, the card has to wait. The person must cancel, and the subscription must run out, before the card will work. A man who gets a card while he is paying for Gold should hold it until the paid days are gone.
To redeem, go to Tinder.com/giftcard, enter the long card number and the PIN, then log into your account.
If the card fails
Tinder points you to its gift card partner, Blackhawk Network, for questions about a card or about redeeming one. Use the contact details printed on the card, or the toll free US support line Tinder lists.
Do this before you buy a replacement. A card that will not redeem is a problem for the card's seller, not for your Tinder account.
What about someone outside the US
Tinder's page describes the cards as sold only online in the US. It says nothing about cards in other countries. A man outside the US should not assume a card from a friend or a reseller will work for him.
If the plan was to give someone else the month, ask first whether that person is in the US. Otherwise the gift may be a card nobody can use.
Is a month of Gold worth buying
A card does one thing: it pays for a month of the tier below Platinum. It does not turn into Platinum, and Tinder's help center gives no way to apply it toward one.
a dating coach's advice on paid features is to test them with one stretch of time and keep score. He said Platinum was worth it from his own experience, and that Gold on its own mattered less once Platinum existed. That is one man's report. It does not tell you what a month of Gold does for you.
Use a month the way he would. Write down your matches, replies and plans before it starts. Count them again at the end. A paid feature multiplies what you already have, so a man who gets nothing for free should fix his photos and his first line before spending a card on anything.
If you are buying it as a gift
A card is a good gift for a friend on the free version who is already using the app. It is a poor gift for a man whose profile is the real problem.
Give the card, and give one piece of advice with it: cancel before the month renews if he does not want to keep paying, because Tinder says subscriptions renew until they are canceled.
Read the page you land on. Check that the address is Tinder.com, that you are in the US, and that the card says Gold. Then decide who will redeem it and whether that person already has a subscription running.
A few seconds of checking beats a card that sits unused. Tinder says the card does not expire, so there is no rush to buy it today.
The short answer
There is no Platinum gift card in Tinder's help center. The Gold card is sold online in the US at Tinder.com/giftcard, never expires, and works only on an account with no active subscription. For card trouble, contact Blackhawk Network.
