Say one short, specific thing about something she showed, and end on a question she can answer in a few words. A Ping alerts her straight away that you are very interested, so the note does not need to repeat that. Its job is to show her how you talk before she decides, and to give her an easy reason to like you back, so that your first messages after the match are welcome.

What the note is for

On most of Feeld nobody writes until two members have liked each other. The Ping note is the exception. It lets you say something before she has made up her mind, unless she has opted out of Ping notes.

The alert gets her attention. The note gives her a reason to spend it on you. Write it as your first message arriving early, only shorter.

Read her page before you type

a dating coach's method on any app is to read a woman's photos and what she wrote before you send anything, then build the first line from one specific thing she shared. On Feeld her page also carries the labels she chose for her desires and relationship type, which tells you a lot.

Do not guess. If her page is short, the note can say so playfully. If it has a clear photo of something she does, write about that.

Sample notes

Treat these as shapes, not scripts. Copy one word for word and she may have seen it already.

  • She is holding a bowl in a ceramics studio: "Is that bowl the keeper, or the third attempt?"
  • She is on a bike at the top of a hill: "That hill looks like it was a bad idea at the bottom. Was it worth it?"
  • Her page has two lines and a dry joke: "Best two lines I have read all week. Did you write the second one first?"
  • She lists travel: "Where did the last trip go, and who kept the map?"

Each one points at something she chose to show, makes a small joke and leaves one easy question. None is longer than two lines.

What to cut

  • A compliment on her looks as the whole note. She hears it all day, and the Ping has already told her you are keen.
  • Anything blunt and sexual, however open her page is. coach points out that many men lead that way and that it usually backfires. An open app does not mean a given woman is open to you.
  • A paragraph about yourself. A long note feels like pressure before she has even decided.
  • "Hey" or "hello." She gets a lot of them.
  • Gushing. If the note says how special she is, you have put her on a pedestal before she has said a word.

When she has switched notes off

Some women opt out of Ping notes. Your Ping still alerts her, but she only sees that you are very interested, so your photos have to do the work alone.

That is one more reason to spend a Ping on a woman you would really regret missing. If you cannot write her anything, the page she opens had better be good.

If you are writing to a couple

Pages with two people are normal on Feeld. Write to both as people who are choosing together. "You two list travel. Where did the last trip go, and who planned it?" works because it does not leave one of them out. A note aimed at one while the other is treated as scenery tends to end the chat.

Be careful with the Ping itself

Majestic members get one Ping a day, and any member can buy more. The daily one does not roll over. Bought Pings cost money, so use them on women you would be pleased to hear from.

My view is that singling a woman out raises the chance she sees you, and that it also puts her on a small pedestal and can read as eager. So the rest of the conversation has to be better than usual. If you are Pinging every woman who looks good, you are buying noise.

After she likes you back

Reply promptly. She said yes to a man who told her he was very interested, and a long silence undoes that.

Then keep it short and moving. coach usually gets a woman from the app to her number in about four to seven messages, with every message heading toward a plan. Suggest something simple and specific, such as a drink near one of you on a named evening. If she is open to a short call, take it. coach finds a call makes a woman far more likely to turn up.

Check what your notes get you

Count over two weeks. How many Pings you sent, how many turned into connections, and how many connections became a plan.

If the Pings with notes do well, spend more of them. If they do not, the problem is usually the photos or the line, and both are cheaper to fix than a bought Ping. Change one thing at a time so you know which edit helped.
