They may not carry over on their own, but you don't have to lose them. Bumble says that if add-ons like SuperSwipes or Spotlights haven't moved to your new account by themselves, you should contact its support team. They'll transfer them for you. It's a request you make to support.

What Bumble does with add-ons

Bumble's page on restoring and transferring purchases has a short answer for add-ons. If your Spotlights or SuperSwipes haven't moved over, contact the support team. They'll transfer them to your new account.

So check first. Open the new account and look at what you have. If the add-ons are already there, you're done. If they aren't, that's when you write in.

How to ask

The quickest way in is the Help Hub inside the app. Open your profile, tap the question-mark icon in the top right, scroll down, and tap Start Chat.

Bumble's add-on answer doesn't list what to include. Its subscription transfers do, though: they ask for the email address linked to your new account, plus your receipt and transaction ID. Sending the same details makes an add-on request easy to check.

Add your new account's User ID too. You copy it by going to the bottom of Settings and double-tapping the Bumble logo.

If you bought the add-ons through Google Play or the App Store, Bumble says the receipt went to the email address on that store account. Send a screenshot of the receipt, not your bank statement. Bumble says it can't accept statements as proof, because they don't show the exact item you bought.

A message along these lines covers it: "I deleted my old account and made this one. The old account had unused SuperSwipes bought through the App Store. The email on this account is (your email), my User ID is (your ID), and the receipt is attached." It's short, specific, and easy for someone to check.

Deleted the old one by accident?

If you only made the new account because you deleted the old one in a hurry, ask support about getting the old one back. Bumble says a deleted account can still be restored for a limited time. Getting it back may be simpler than moving everything across, and the window doesn't stay open for long.

Your subscription is a separate request

If you also had Boost, Premium or Premium+, the plan may not follow you either. Bumble's page on restoring purchases says a subscription is linked to the account that bought it and won't transfer across automatically.

Mention it in the same message as your add-ons, so everything moves at once.

Bumble's subscription page puts it differently for App Store purchases. It says they are the only kind that can be restored automatically from an old account to a new one. So try Restore purchases in the app's settings before you write in. It costs nothing.

What a SuperSwipe actually does

On the People tab, you send a SuperSwipe by tapping the star icon. Bumble frames it as the move for when you really like someone.

Bumble also says a SuperSwipe can't be undone. If you end up matching and change your mind, you can unmatch, or let the match expire by never sending a message.

That detail matters more than it sounds. Every SuperSwipe you send on a whim is a small decision you can't take back.

Spend them on women you would actually message

Men waste add-ons the same way they waste likes: on reflex.

A SuperSwipe is worth sending to a woman you'd genuinely be pleased to take out. Ideally, something on her page gives you a real first line to write. If you can't think of a single thing you'd say to her, don't spend one on her.

A strong signal of interest with nothing behind it only leads to a match you never follow up. She noticed the SuperSwipe, she matched, and then you had nothing to open with.

So save them for the few women who genuinely catch your eye. Have your opener ready before you tap the star, and send it the same day you match.

A fresh account doesn't change your photos

If you made a new account for a fresh start, be clear about what that does and doesn't do.

A SuperSwipe tells a woman you're very interested. It doesn't change the photos she's deciding on. If your first photo was getting passed over on the old account, it gets passed over on the new one, with or without a SuperSwipe attached.

So get your add-ons moved, then look hard at the set they're attached to. Put a clear first photo in good light at the front, add a couple more that show your real life, and give your bio one line that's specific to you. That's what decides whether a SuperSwipe turns into a conversation.
