Men ask about the photos. They ask how long it takes and what lands on them. The question they almost never ask out loud is the one they are actually chewing on, which is what happens to the woman they have been talking to for the past fortnight.
It is a fair question. The short answer is that she does not get dropped and nothing gets wiped. The longer answer is worth having, because how your existing conversations get picked up decides whether the first two weeks feel like a handover or a reset.
Nothing gets deleted
Start with the quiet fear, because most men have it and very few say it. Handing over your apps is not handing over a phone to be cleared out and started again.
The accounts stay yours. The matches stay in them. Nobody unmatches a woman to make the inbox tidier, and nobody closes out a conversation because it looks like work to inherit.
What happens on the first day is duller than any of that. Somebody sits down and reads what is already there.
Somebody reads the lot, from the top
Before a single message goes out, every live conversation gets read in order. Not skimmed. Read, so that whoever answers next knows what you already told her, what she told you, what got joked about, and what was suggested once and quietly dodged.
That reading is an hour or two of unglamorous work and it is the entire reason a handover does not feel like a reset at her end. She is not going to notice that the person typing has changed. She is going to notice that the reply picked up the thing she said on Sunday.
The three kinds of conversation you are handing over
By the end of that read, an inbox sorts itself into three piles. It always does.
The first is the dead ones. Matched weeks ago, two messages each, nothing since. Most men have far more of these than they would guess, because a list of names looks like activity when you glance at it. They do not get restarted for the sake of looking busy. A message goes out where one is genuinely worth sending and the rest are left where they are.
The second is the stalled ones. A real exchange that ran well for a while and then lost its footing, almost always at the point where somebody should have suggested an evening and nobody did. This is the most valuable pile in your phone and the one men abandon most. She was interested. Nothing was ever asked.
The third is the live ones. Currently talking, currently answering, sometimes close to a date already. Those get handled most carefully of all.
Why a stalled conversation is easier for somebody else to pick up
There is an awkwardness about going back to a woman you let go quiet on, and it lives entirely in your head rather than hers. You remember the silence. You know exactly how long it has been. So the message you would write has an apology buried in it somewhere, or it works too hard to be charming, and both of those read badly from the other side.
Somebody coming to it fresh carries none of that. They see an exchange that was going somewhere, the place it stopped, and the obvious thing to say next. The gap gets no comment at all.
A surprising number of first dates come out of this pile in the opening fortnight, and they are dates that were sitting in your phone the whole time.
The one you actually care about
There is usually one. A woman you are genuinely interested in, where it is going well and you do not want anybody else near it.
Say so on the first call. That conversation stays yours, and you keep answering it yourself while everything else gets run. Nobody argues with you about it and you do not have to justify it.
Most men hand that one over a week or two later, once they have watched the rest get handled and stopped being nervous. Some never do, and keep one conversation of their own the whole way through. Both are normal. What matters is that it is your call, made plainly at the start, rather than something you find out about afterwards.
What she experiences
Nothing at all, if it is done properly, and that is the standard the work is held to.
Your register gets learned before anything is sent: how you talk, how formal you are, what you find funny, the things you would never say. That is groundwork rather than guesswork, because you are the man who has to walk into the bar and be the same person she was texting. A woman who meets a stranger at the table has been handed a bad service, not a good one.
What changes in the first two weeks
The obvious change is that the stalled pile stops being a graveyard.
The less obvious one is that the live conversations start moving. An exchange that would have drifted another ten days gets an evening suggested while the window for it is still open. That single habit is most of the gap between conversations you run between meetings and conversations that are somebody's actual job that day.
The honest version of this question
Open your apps and count the women you have not answered in a week. Then count the ones where you were genuinely interested and it simply stopped.
Almost every man who does this alone finds the second number is larger than he expected. None of those women are gone. They are sitting in a phone belonging to someone with no time to work them.
Our team reads every existing conversation first, then redoes your dating photos and your whole profile and runs the apps daily, on every app you want to be on, the selective ones such as Raya, The League, Luxy or Inner Circle included, on the accounts you already hold. Your first date within a week, or we keep working. After that the target is 2-3 dates each week.
See if you qualify and we will go through what is actually sitting in your inbox, or read what the Online Dating Concierge covers first.
