The suspicion is always the same. Somebody takes over your dating apps, and before any of it starts you get handed a questionnaire the length of a mortgage application. You have no time. That is the reason you are looking at this in the first place. A service that begins by taking three evenings off you has already lost.
So here is the whole list of what it actually needs from you, in the order it gets asked, and why it stops where it stops.
Your week, in real hours
Not your ideal week. The one you actually have.
Which evenings are genuinely free. How late you work on the bad days. Whether Saturday is yours or belongs to something else. Whether you are useless before nine in the morning or dead after nine at night.
This matters more than men expect, because the whole operation ends in a woman sitting opposite you at a specific hour. Dates get proposed into gaps that really exist. A team working from an imaginary schedule books an evening you then have to move, and moving an evening is the fastest way to lose a woman who was mildly interested.
Two minutes of honesty here saves a month of near misses.
Where you actually are
Your city, the part of it you live in, and how far you would truly drive on a Tuesday. Not how far you might drive one day for the perfect woman. How far you will drive on a normal Tuesday after a long day.
Then the other half of the question: how often you are somewhere else. Men who travel for work assume this is a problem to be apologized for. It is not. When your location changes, the targeting changes with it, so a fortnight in another city becomes a fortnight of dates in that city instead of a fortnight of nothing. But that only works if somebody knows the trip is coming.
Who you actually want
This is the part worth slowing down on, and it is still short.
Her age range. Roughly what she should be doing with her life. What she is on the apps for, because a woman looking for something serious and a woman looking for something light are not the same woman and cannot be approached the same way. Whether children, hers or the idea of yours, are a yes, a no, or a shrug.
Be specific rather than agreeable here. Men soften these answers because a firm one feels rude to say out loud. The softened version is the one that fills your calendar with evenings you did not want.
The things you will never do
A short list of hard lines. The habits you will not sit across from. The situations you are not available for. The kind of woman you do not want messaged in your name no matter how well she photographs.
Two or three items is normal. Nobody needs a manifesto. What matters is that these are treated as fixed rather than as preferences to be talked around, so you are never in the position of being handed a date you would have said no to.
How you talk
Messages go out in your name, so how you talk has to be learned before anything is sent.
How formal you are. Whether you are funny on purpose or dry by accident. The words you would never use. Whether you write in full sentences or in fragments at traffic lights. The aim is not an impressive version of you. It is a recognizable one, because you are the man who has to turn up on Thursday and be the same person she was talking to.
This is picked up from how you already write, not from a personality test.
What is not on the list
Nobody asks you to write a bio. Nobody asks you to choose your own photos or rank them. Nobody books you a photo shoot, because your own ordinary selfies are enough raw material to build a full set from.
Nobody asks you to check in every day, keep a spreadsheet, approve each message before it sends, or learn anything about how the apps work. If a service needs that from you, it is coaching wearing a different coat, and coaching is a good purchase for a different problem.
Why the list stops here
Because everything past this point is work, and work is the thing you are handing over.
The intake is only there to fix the things that no amount of effort can guess: what you want, what you will not accept, when you are free, and how you sound. Get those four right and the daily running has a target to aim at. Get them wrong and a good team spends a month producing dates with the wrong women, on the wrong nights, in your voice but not your interest.
One sitting, plus a batch of ordinary selfies of your face in different light. That is the cost of setting it up.
When it changes later
None of this is carved in stone.
What you want at the start is often not what you want in week six, because actually going on dates teaches you things sitting at home never did. Men narrow their age range after meeting three women who were technically a fit. They widen the distance after realizing the good evenings were all a bit further out. You say so, and the terms change from that day.
The judgment stays yours. The typing, the swiping, the filtering and the arranging do not.
That is what the Online Dating Concierge is for. Our team rebuilds your photos and your entire profile, runs your apps daily, and turns the conversations worth having into dates on your calendar, aiming at 2-3 dates each week. Your first date within a week, or we keep working.
If the thing holding you back is the fear of a long setup, take the list above as the honest scope of it, and bring your week and your standards to the application so the fit gets decided on real information.
