Standouts vs HingeX: What Is the Difference?

Standouts is a feed every Hinge user gets: a list of people receiving a lot of attention who still meet your preferences, and the only way to reach them is a Rose. HingeX's See Compatible People Sooner works behind the scenes instead. It moves people who fit your shared preferences and recent activity to the top of your Discover feed. There, an ordinary like works, and you do not need a Rose.

You open Standouts with the star icon in the navigation bar. Hinge describes it as the people catching the most attention on the app, tailored to your preferences and recent activity. A new batch appears every day.

The rule that defines it is simple: this feed takes Roses only, never ordinary likes. A Rose moves you to the top of her Likes You, and it shows there with a Rose icon, so she can see you sent one.

Hinge gives members a free Rose on a regular schedule, and free Roses do not accumulate. Beyond that, Roses are something you buy.

So Standouts is free to look at and costs a Rose to act on. You see a small set of in-demand women and decide which one, if any, deserves the Rose.

HingeX is one of Hinge's two subscriptions, alongside Hinge+, and its See Compatible People Sooner feature works in a different place. Hinge says it works behind the scenes, bringing people who are more your type to the top of your Discover feed. It bases that on your shared preferences and on who you have recently liked or skipped.

From there, you act the normal way. You can send a like, or a Rose if you want to make a stronger impression. Hinge's subscriber page makes the point directly: unlike Standouts, you do not need to send a Rose.

That is the core difference. Standouts shows you a separate list of popular people and asks for a Rose. HingeX changes the order of the feed you already use and lets an ordinary like do the work.

See Compatible People Sooner is not the only thing in the plan. Hinge lists two more features only HingeX members get.

Priority Likes: every like you send stays toward the top of her list for 7 days, then is treated like a regular like. Hinge says a Priority Like looks the same as a regular one, so only you know you sent it.

Get Seen by More Daters: Hinge calls this a light, always-on version of Boost that keeps you more visible in Discover while your subscription is active. It does not override other people's preferences.

HingeX also carries everything in Hinge+. That means unlimited likes, seeing everyone who has liked you at once, undoing your most recent skip as often as you like, and extra filters for your preferences. Hinge also says your subscription is private, so no one else on the app can see it.

They solve different problems, so compare them by what you are short of.

If you are short of reach with a few specific women, Standouts is the tool. It shows you women getting heavy attention, and the Rose you send one of them puts you at the top of her Likes You.

If you are short of volume, HingeX is the tool. It works on every like you send, every day, not just on one woman. More of the people at the top of your feed fit you, and more of your likes sit higher in their lists.

Neither one writes your comments or fixes the first thing she sees. Both only get you looked at sooner.

Applied here, the test is simple. Spend two weeks on the free version sending likes with real comments in Discover. If a few of them turn into conversations, HingeX has something to multiply, and it may be worth it. If almost none do, the subscription will mostly show your page to more people who pass on it.

You can use Standouts on any plan, so the two are not a choice between one or the other. A HingeX member still sees Standouts and still needs a Rose there.

A sensible routine looks like this. Check Standouts once a day and save your free Rose for the one woman you most want to meet. Do the bulk of your liking in Discover, with a comment on every like. Pay for HingeX only once the free version shows you that your likes turn into conversations. Then let it put those conversations in front of more of the right women.
