On Feeld a match is called a connection, and it forms only when two members have liked each other. So the way to get more of them is to be an easy yes for the people you like: clear photos, a page that says what you are looking for, and likes spent on people who fit. Nobody can write to anyone until they connect, which makes your page do all the early work.
Why your page does everything
On most apps you can try to talk your way past a weak photo. On Feeld you cannot, because you cannot message a member until you connect. She decides from what she sees in Discover.
That makes the page your whole first impression. A man with a thin page waits on likes that never come, and a man with a clear one gets noticed.
Photos first
Start with a clear, well-lit photo of your face as the first one. Daylight, no hat, no sunglasses, no group where she must guess which man you are.
Add a few more from different days that show you doing things. A full-body shot, a photo that shows where you live your life, and one with a bit of warmth in it will do. Five photos taken the same afternoon look like one afternoon.
a dating coach's advice on photos is to fix them before anything else, because no line can rescue a set that a woman cannot read.
Say what you want, plainly
Feeld is different from the mainstream apps in what members can put on a page. People choose desires, relationship types, sexualities and genders, and others filter by them.
Fill those in honestly. A page that matches what you actually want attracts people who want the same, and puts off the ones who would waste your time. A vague page draws vague interest, and an overstated one draws trouble.
If a term on someone else's page is unfamiliar, tap and hold it and the app shows a short definition. Look it up instead of guessing, because a wrong guess ends a chat.
Write something that sounds like you
Your written bio is where a woman learns what you are like to talk to. Two or three specific lines beat a paragraph. Say something concrete about your week, your hobbies or your sense of humor, and leave out the list of adjectives.
Then read it as a stranger would. If it could be anyone's, rewrite it.
Be choosy with likes
Liking everyone feels productive and is not. a dating coach tells students who like every profile to stop, and says results improve once they choose carefully. His reasoning is that an app has reason to notice how selective you are, and he believes it treats a man who likes almost everyone as less attractive and shows him to fewer of the women he wants.
Whatever the mechanics, the practical point holds. Like people whose pages you have read and whose wants fit yours. A like you would never follow up on is wasted on an app where a connection is the only door.
Couples and what to know
Couples are a normal part of Feeld. A member can link his page with a partner, so you will see pairs as well as singles. Read how each page describes itself before you like it.
A couple is two people who are both choosing. If you connect with one, write to both as people, and do not treat one as a way to reach the other.
Pings, and what to do after a connection
A Ping tells a member right away that you are very interested, and she gets a notification. Use yours on someone you would be genuinely pleased to meet, not on whoever is on screen.
Once you connect, write quickly while she still remembers you. Comment on one specific thing from her page and keep it short. A first line that could go to any woman gets no answer. Then suggest a real plan, such as a drink at a place near her, once the chat has some warmth. Chats that only exist on the app tend to fade.
What not to do
Do not send the same copied line to everyone. Do not push boundaries in a first message. Do not argue with someone who disconnects. A calm exit costs you nothing and leaves your name clean.
If connections stay few after a few weeks with a clear page, check whether the issue is the app's pool in your area or your page. Trying a different app with the same photos will tell you which.
