Go to the Settings tab under your main photo icon and open My Account. Enter your password, then click the link that says to disable or delete your account. Once you use Delete My Account, your page is removed from the site and nobody can view it.
The steps, one at a time
Sign in on the site or in the app. Tap or click your main photo icon, then open the Settings tab and choose My Account.
EliteSingles asks for your password again. After you enter it, you will see a link worded "Click here to disable or delete your account." Click it and follow the prompts.
The link is worded as a choice between disabling and deleting, so read what the screen offers before you confirm. Pick the one you actually want. A man who only needs a break and a man who wants to be gone are two different cases.
What deleting does to your page
EliteSingles says that after you use Delete My Account, your page is taken off the site. Members can no longer see it.
If you sign back in within six months, the account is restored automatically. If you do not, EliteSingles says your information is permanently deleted. The exceptions are success stories and other content you posted in the common community, which stay.
That window works in your favor if you change your mind. It also means a deleted account is not gone the instant you click, so do not tell yourself it is over until you have waited it out.
Deleting is also how you stop some payments
How you pay decides what deleting does to your billing. EliteSingles says that if you pay by credit card, it cancels the subscription automatically when you remove your account.
If you pay through Google Play or the Apple App Store, deleting does not do that. You must also stop the subscription through Google or Apple, or you will keep being charged. The store has its own record of what you owe, and EliteSingles cannot cancel it for you.
So after you delete, open your store's subscription list and confirm the EliteSingles entry shows as canceled. Do this on the same day. A charge that lands a month later on an account you thought was dead is an annoying way to find out.
Get her number before you delete
Men forget this part. If you are in the middle of a good conversation with a woman, deleting ends your easiest way to reach her.
a dating coach's rule for every dating app is to move a conversation off the app within a few messages and to have a short phone call before a date. It lowers the flake rate, and it means your best leads do not live on a service you are about to leave.
Send her something short and direct. "I'm closing my account here, and I'd like to keep talking. Can I text you?" A woman who was enjoying the exchange will often say yes. One who does not was probably going to fade anyway.
Do this for every woman worth keeping before you touch the delete link. It takes ten minutes and saves you from a week of wondering whether she wrote back.
If you change your mind later
A removed account can be brought back. Log in with your email and password and click Reactivate.
After you click it, EliteSingles customer service reviews your page before it goes back up. So reactivating is not instant, and you should expect a wait before you are visible again.
Because the site runs on one account for the website and the app, signing in on either one is the way to reach the Reactivate option.
Should you delete at all?
Ask what is actually wrong. If you are only tired of the cost, the billing step above is the fix, not a deleted account. If you are getting few replies, the cause is usually what you wrote and which pictures you chose, and a deleted account will not change that.
a dating coach treats every site as a test. Use it for a short stretch, count your messages, replies, calls and dates, and drop it if the numbers do not move. If you have run that test and nothing happened, deleting is a clean, sensible decision.
If you have not tested it properly, a better first step is to fix your write-up and your pictures, then give it two more weeks. A site built around detailed pages rewards a man who writes something specific about his life, and punishes one who left it half empty.
The short version
Settings, My Account, your password, then the disable or delete link. Your page comes down. You have six months to change your mind. Card payments stop when the account goes, but a store subscription has to be canceled in the store. And before any of that, get the number of every woman you still want to see.
