Yes. Badoo does not use individual account passwords, so deleting an account never asks for one. Members log in with a verification code, or through a linked account such as Apple, Google, Facebook or a phone number. If you can get into the app, you can delete the account.
Why there is no password
A man who cannot get back in tends to assume the password is the problem. He remembers the email address and nothing else.
On Badoo it is not. The service signs you in with a code sent to you, or through the account you linked at sign-up. So the question to answer first is which way you signed up. If you used Google, you sign back in through Google. If you used a phone number, the code goes to that phone.
If your linked account is gone too
Sometimes the route you signed up with no longer works. You changed your phone number, or you lost access to the old Google account.
Then the in-app steps may not be open to you, and the support route is the one to use. Badoo support verifies your identity to confirm that you own the account. Have what you can: the name on the account, the email address or phone number it used, and your photos. That is a reasonable thing to expect to be asked.
Deleting in the app
Once you are in:
- Go to your Profile.
- Tap the Settings gear.
- Tap Account.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
Nothing in those steps asks you to type a password, because there is not one to type.
Deleting on the website
On the Badoo website, open your Profile and then the Settings gear. Delete account sits at the very bottom of the screen.
If Delete account is missing
On the website, the option can be absent if your email address has not been confirmed yet. Badoo fixes that by sending you another verification link. Confirm the address, go back to the settings, and look again.
If you signed up with an address you no longer use, sort that out first. Do not assume the option has been removed.
If it still does not work
If those steps fail, you can contact Badoo support. Support verifies your identity to confirm that you own the account, so expect to prove who you are before anything is deleted. That is the right design, even when it is a nuisance. It stops a stranger deleting your account for you.
Cancel your subscription first
An active Premium or Extra subscription may not cancel by itself when the account is deleted. Badoo advises cancelling it before you delete.
Where you cancel depends on where you paid. If you paid through Apple or Google Play, cancel it in that store. If you paid by card or PayPal, use Badoo's own payment settings. Then check that it shows as cancelled before you delete the account.
Before you delete
Deleting is the last step, and a man who is about to do it should do two things first.
If there is a woman you want to stay in touch with, get her number. a dating coach's method for moving a woman from an app to a real plan takes about four to seven messages, and it ends with an exchange of numbers. A conversation inside an account you delete is gone with it.
Then ask whether deleting is what you actually want. When a run of conversations dies, a bad week makes deleting feel like action. My advice for a bad stretch is different: take a break, get re-centered, and then decide the best next step. If you only want some quiet, Badoo lets you hide your account instead of deleting it. That keeps everything where it is, and you can come back with one tap.
Fix the basics before the next app
If you delete because Badoo was not working, remember that your photos and your first messages come with you to the next dating app. A clear daylight photo of your face at the front, and a plan suggested within a handful of messages, will do more for you on any app than a change of app will.
