The League sells three kinds of Boost. A Profile Boost shows you far more often to people in your region, and a VIP Boost puts you in front of a set number of top-rated members who fit your preferences. A Likes Boost shows you across every League City until you collect a set number of fresh likes, and none of the three runs on a timer.

The three Boosts side by side

Each Boost buys a different kind of attention.

The Profile Boost is local. It shows you far more often to people in your own region, which suits a man who wants dates close to home.

The VIP Boost is selective. It puts you in front of a set number of top-rated members who meet your preferences. It is the narrowest of the three, aimed at quality rather than reach.

The Likes Boost is wide. It shows you across all League Cities until you have collected a set number of likes. Think about that reach before you buy it. Likes from women in other cities only help if you travel there or plan to.

No timer, just a finish line

Boosts on The League do not run for a fixed number of minutes. Each one ends when it has delivered what it promised, whether that is the extra visibility or the likes.

That changes how you use them. You do not need to sit on the app watching a countdown. You do need to check in regularly while one is running, because the women it reaches are seeing you right then, and a reply that arrives days later lands cold.

What each one costs

A local Profile Boost can be paid for with League Tickets or bought outright. Check the price in the app before you buy, since it can change.

If you already hold tickets, a local Profile Boost is one of the more expensive things they buy. Weigh it against a few Power Moves aimed at women you have already picked out, which put you in front of specific people rather than a crowd.

What a Boost cannot fix

A Boost decides how many women see you. It has no say over what they think when they do.

a dating coach calls most paid features multipliers. Multiply a page that works and you get more of a good result. Multiply a page nobody responds to and you get the same nothing from a bigger crowd. So he wants a man earning a few likes and conversations for free before he spends anything, which proves the page works, and only then adding fuel to it.

Get your bio and About Me section right first

Most men pay for visibility when the real problem is what women find once they arrive.

My rule for anything you write on a dating app is that it should do three jobs. It should make earning your interest feel like a win for her. It should give her a small, interesting taste of what dating you would be like. And it should make you seem like a human being, not a man who is mainly impressed with himself.

Your favorite color does none of those jobs. A line about what the two of you might do on a Sunday afternoon does all three.

On a selective app it is tempting to fill this space with your job title and your degrees. Keep those brief. She can see where you work. What she cannot see yet is what an evening with you is like.

Make your first photo stand out

Before any Boost, look hard at your first photo. It decides whether she reads any further.

Your face should be sharp and well lit, and you should be the only person in the shot, so she never has to guess which one is you. coach is blunt that most photo problems are effort problems. A friend who likes taking pictures, an afternoon outside, a couple of hundred shots and clothes that fit you properly will beat almost anything already on your phone.

Pick the Boost for the problem you have

Match the Boost to what is actually missing.

If you get good conversations but not enough of them, the local Profile Boost puts more nearby women in front of a page that already works. If you get attention but not from the women you most want, the VIP Boost is aimed at that. If you split your time between cities, the Likes Boost reaches further than the others.

Then test it. coach treats a Boost like any paid extra. Run it, set the results beside a normal stretch without one, and buy it again only if the gap is obvious. Count the likes, then follow them through to conversations and dates. If a Boost brought a flood of likes and no dates, the visibility worked and the page did not.
