Hily is free to download, and on the free version you can set up your page, browse, match and chat, like most dating apps. Premium is an optional paid package, and its price is shown in the App Store or Google Play before you subscribe. Prices change, so there is no number here. What follows is what each level gets you, so you can judge the price when you see it.
What the free version covers
Hily says you can have an account for free. Download the app, set up your page and you can match and chat without paying anything.
The free version lets you make a profile, browse profiles, match and chat. That is the whole basic loop of a dating app, and it is enough to get a woman's number and take her out.
There is one catch. Free members have a daily limit on likes, and the limit refreshes the next day. If you tend to like a lot of people in one sitting, you will meet that limit.
What Premium adds
Hily's FAQ says Premium adds things like unlimited likes, improved filters and seeing who has already liked you. Its help center lists more. That includes highlighted messages and sending messages without waiting for a match. It also lists profile boosts, an ad-free app, Incognito mode and advanced filters.
Those fall into a few jobs.
- Reach. Unlimited likes, boosts and highlighted messages get you in front of more women, or make your words stand out.
- Shortcuts. Seeing who liked you and writing before a match save time.
- Control. Improved and advanced filters, Incognito mode and no ads change what the app feels like to use.
Hily calls the package fully optional, and nothing on that list is required to match, chat or date.
Premium and the higher tier
The App Store listing describes Hily as free with in-app purchases. It lists a Premium tier and a higher Premium+ tier.
The listing is the place to check what each level includes and what it costs in your region. Do not trust a price from an old forum post. Hily's pricing lives in the store you pay through, and the store shows the current number before you commit.
How you actually subscribe
Hily says to tap the Get Hily Premium button on your profile. That sends you to the App Store or Google Play page, where you see the price and confirm.
That means the store is also where you cancel or change a subscription later. Know that before you buy, and set a reminder for the renewal date so a plan does not run on after you stop using the app.
How to decide before you pay
a dating coach has a clear view on paying for dating apps. Plenty of men who study dating carry a strong bias against ever paying for anything, and he thinks that bias holds them back. A drink for a woman can cost almost nothing next to what it earns you, and an app subscription works the same way when it is used well.
His rule is to test, not to guess. Use the free version first. If it is already giving you a few matches a week, paying for more reach can multiply that. If it gives you nothing, paying will not rescue you. Check your photos first, then what you write, then your first messages. coach puts them in that order.
If you do decide to try Premium, treat it as an experiment.
- Pick one feature you would use, such as seeing who liked you.
- Use it for a while and note your matches and dates compared with a normal stretch.
- Keep it if your results clearly improve, and cancel it without guilt if they do not.
Which Premium features can bring you more matches
Seeing who already liked you tends to pay for itself, because those women have already said yes to your page. Answering a warm list is faster than liking through a whole feed.
Improved filters matter more than they sound. Choosing which women you talk to, instead of leaving it to the app, is one of the biggest levers coach names. A feed full of women you would never meet is a waste of evenings.
Unlimited likes only matter if you keep hitting the daily limit. If you rarely do, skip it. And if you do hit it every day, ask first whether you are liking too many people.
What money cannot fix
No tier fixes a weak first photo or a message that says nothing about her. Spend an hour on those before you spend a dollar.
