Neither page gives a figure, so treat any exact number you read elsewhere as a guess rather than a Hinge rule.

For practical purposes, assume the free supply is small. If you like almost everyone you see, you will run out early in the day and spend the rest of it unable to send another like.

Both subscriptions remove the daily cap on likes. That is the main thing you are buying if you send a lot of likes.

Each tier adds more on top. Hinge+ and HingeX both let you see everyone who has liked you at once, undo your most recent skip as many times as you like, and filter by more preferences. Hinge shows a progress bar above your Matches as you get close, and a pop-up when you reach the limit. If your likes suddenly stop working, check your chats before anything else.

Hinge's own advice points the same way as the cap. On its page about not getting matches, it says its algorithm learns from your activity in the app. It suggests liking people you think would be a good match, rather than liking a greater number of them.

So a limited daily supply pushes you toward the habit Hinge recommends anyway. Read her answers, decide whether you would actually take her out, and like her only if you would.

Put a comment on every like you send. Hinge says adding a comment makes a like more likely to get a response. When each like is scarce, a like with no comment is a wasted one.

Spend your likes early and on purpose. Open Discover, read each woman's answers before deciding, and like only the ones you would genuinely meet. Write one specific comment on each.

After you send a like, Hinge says she disappears from your Discover feed until she responds, so there is no point checking on her. Put your attention into the chats you already have, answer quickly, and suggest a place and a day once a conversation has some life in it. A handful of well-chosen likes a day, answered well, will give you more dates than a hundred sent without reading.
