How Incognito Mode Works on Feeld

Incognito is a Majestic feature that keeps you out of other members' Discover feeds while you carry on browsing yours. A woman can only see you once you like her or send her a Ping. You switch it on with the Go incognito toggle in your Privacy settings, and the trade is reach, because you will never see members who also have incognito on.

1. Open Settings.
2. Tap Edit profile.
3. Under Privacy settings, switch on Go incognito.

Incognito comes with Majestic, so the toggle is only there for you if you have the membership. To go visible again, switch the same toggle off.

With incognito on, you do not appear in anyone's Discover feed. Women browsing the app will not come across you.

The exception is the women you reach out to. Once you like a woman or send her a Ping, she can see you. So incognito does not make you invisible to everyone. It makes you visible only to the women you pick.

Meanwhile you keep browsing Discover as normal. You can look around and decide who to approach without the whole app watching you do it.

This changes what your page has to do. On a visible account, plenty of women glance at you and move on, and that is fine. With incognito on, almost every woman who sees you is one you picked and liked. She looks at you once, right after your like arrives, and decides.

So your first photo and your words carry more weight when you are hidden, not less. If your lead photo is dim, crowded or years old, fix it before you switch incognito on. Every like you send will be judged on it.

Some men have good reasons to stay out of the feed:

• A man who works with the public and does not want clients scrolling past him.
• A man in a small place where he would recognize half the feed.
• A man just out of a long relationship who is not ready to have it noticed.
• A man exploring something new who wants to keep it private for now.

Any of those is a good enough reason. Discretion is exactly what the feature is for.

What you give up is all the interest that would otherwise arrive without you lifting a finger.

On a visible account, women come across you while you are at work or asleep, and some of them like you first. a dating coach describes a good page as an asset that keeps bringing women to your door without extra effort. Incognito switches that off. Every connection now has to start with you.

There is a second cost, and Feeld spells it out. Two members who both have incognito on never see each other. If a woman you would like is also hiding, neither of you will find the other. Feeld itself warns that incognito can reduce your connections.

When you are hidden, your own likes are the whole game, so treat each one as if it has to earn its place.

Be selective. coach has long argued that men who like almost everyone do worse than men who are choosier. Pick women whose pages give you something real to talk about, and save a Ping for the few you most want to hear from.

Then write a first line worth answering. React to one specific thing she shared, keep it short, and give her an easy way to reply. After that, keep it moving. coach gets from first message to her number in four to seven messages, mentioning going out early so the plan never arrives out of nowhere. Hidden or visible, the point of the app is to get you off it and onto a date.

My view is that the good paid features grow your results. Incognito works the other way. It is a privacy tool, and most of the time it shrinks your reach rather than growing it.

So judge Majestic on what else it gives you, and turn incognito on only when you have a real reason to hide. When the reason passes, switch it off and let women find you again. Privacy is worth paying for when you need it. When you do not, a visible page will get you more dates.
