Hinge+ vs HingeX: What Does HingeX Add?

HingeX is Hinge+ with three extras on top. You get everything Hinge+ includes, plus See Compatible People Sooner, Get Seen by More Daters and Priority Likes. The first brings the people you are likely to be interested in to the top of your feed. The second shows you higher in other people's feeds. The third keeps your likes near the top of their lists.

Both subscriptions share the same base. You get unlimited likes, unlimited Undo Skips, and every incoming like on one screen instead of working through them slowly. You also get advanced dating preferences such as height, politics and drinking, plus the option to sort your incoming likes by Last Active and Nearby.

If those are the features you want, Hinge+ gives you all of them. Paying for HingeX only makes sense if the three extras are worth something to you on top.

See Compatible People Sooner works on your own Discover feed. It looks at common preferences and your recent activity, including who you have recently liked or skipped. Then it moves the people you are likely to be more interested in toward the top. Unlike Standouts, you do not need a Rose to reach them. An ordinary like works.

Get Seen by More Daters works on other people's feeds. It pushes you toward the top of their Discover feeds for as long as your subscription is active. Hinge calls it a light but always-on version of Boost, and it does not override anyone's preferences.

Priority Likes work on the likes you send. Each one stays toward the top of her Likes You list for about a week, then counts as a regular like. They look exactly like regular likes, so only you know, and they switch on automatically.

Read them again and notice what they all do. Every one of them is about position. Who shows up first for you, where you show up for her, and where your like sits in her list.

None of them changes what she sees when she finally gets to you. Your first photo, your answers and your comment are exactly what they were on Hinge+, or on the free version for that matter. HingeX gets you looked at sooner and more often. What happens in the two or three seconds after she looks is still decided by your page.
