Not on a timer that Feeld describes. On Feeld, a match is called a connection, and it is made when a like or a Ping is accepted and a chat opens. Feeld's help center does not describe connections as timing out. They end when a member disconnects, blocks, pauses or deletes an account.
What a connection is
A connection is Feeld's word for a match. You like someone or Ping her, she accepts, and a chat opens between you.
Because there is no expiry clock described, you will not lose a connection simply because you waited a few days. That takes the pressure off in one way. It does not mean you can sit on it, and we will get to why.
What ends a connection
Four things end one.
If you disconnect from someone, the chat shows that the person left the chat, and the history remains viewable for 30 days from disconnection.
If you block someone, or she blocks you, the other person is gone from the chat list. That history cannot be recovered.
If a person terminates her account, she is also gone from the chat list, with no way to recover the conversation.
If a connection pauses her account, the chat stays in your list, but messages cannot be sent. If she comes back, chatting can resume from where it left off.
The chat that vanished
Men often see a conversation disappear and assume it expired. By Feeld's description, the likelier cause is that she deleted her account or blocked you.
You cannot tell which from your side. The chat is simply missing, and it cannot be recovered. It is not a sign that you did something wrong in the last message, and there is no point trying to chase it down.
The paused chat
A paused connection looks quiet but is not over. The chat stays, messages cannot be sent, and when she returns you can pick up where you stopped.
If you know a woman has paused, do not read it as rejection. She stepped away from the app. Check back after a while, and if the chat is active again, send a short, easy message.
The recent likes history
Majestic members get seven days of history to review recent likes and dislikes, and can upgrade a like to a Ping. This is separate from connections, but it is the closest Feeld comes to a short window.
If you are a Majestic member, you can look back over the last week and change a like into a Ping on someone you want to stand out to. If you are not, do not count on being able to go back, so give each like and pass a moment of thought.
Why a connection can still go cold
No timer does not mean no rush. A connection that never gets a message fades in practice, even though nothing has technically expired.
A woman who accepts a like or a Ping did so because something about you caught her eye that day. A man who connects and then waits a week to say hello has let most of that interest cool. By the time he writes, she may barely remember why she said yes.
So write soon after you connect. Within a day is a good habit. Open with something specific, drawn from her page or the way you connected. Ask one simple question. Short and direct beats long and clever.
Do not collect connections
A long list of connections you never talk to is not a prize. It is noise. It buries the few women who are actually replying.
If a chat has gone quiet and you are no longer interested, you can disconnect, and the history stays viewable for 30 days. If you want to keep the connection but are not writing, fine, but be honest with yourself about whether you will. Spend your time on the women who answer.
Take it off the app
Because chats can disappear when any one person pauses, blocks, or leaves, a conversation held only inside the app can be lost at any time. When a conversation is going well, suggest moving it along.
Ask for a number, or better, ask for a date. "I'd like to take you for a drink this week. Are you free Thursday?" is clear, friendly and easy to answer. A plan on the calendar does not depend on the app keeping a chat alive.
The short version
Feeld does not describe connections as expiring. A connection ends when someone disconnects, blocks, pauses or deletes an account. After a disconnect, the history stays viewable for 30 days. After a block or a deleted account, it is gone for good. A pause keeps the chat but stops new messages until she returns. Write soon after you connect, keep your list to people you will actually talk to, and move good chats to a date.
