Dating coaching helps short men for the same reason it helps anyone: most of what decides a first conversation is not height. It is how you walk up, how you sound, how much real interest you show and how you handle the moment. A Cold Approach Bootcamp trains those things in person, in Miami or New York, with a coach correcting you as it happens. Height is one fact about you. It is not the thing being coached.
Some women prefer taller men, and you cannot change that. You can change nearly everything else a woman notices in the first minute.
What coach says about it
a dating coach is five foot seven, and he has coached men for twenty years. When he hears "I am too short," his answer is direct. There are women who like short men, a big share of women do not care, and he has known men shorter than the one asking who got results. A smaller group will care, and that is true of every trait a man has.
His broader point is that every man has a sticking point. A short man envies a tall one, and the tall one envies someone with more money. Everyone plays the hand he has. The ones who succeed do not wait for the hand to change.
Where height actually gets in the way
Height matters least where you think it does and most in a few specific places:
- In your head before you speak. A man who has decided women will dismiss him walks up already apologizing, and she reads that.
- In your posture. Shrinking, looking up with a wince, or standing too far back all make the gap look bigger.
- In how fast you quit. One cold reaction feels like proof, so you stop.
Those three are behaviors, and behaviors are coachable.
What a coach fixes
A coach beside you can see and name the things you cannot feel:
- Your opener. A clear, relaxed hello with steady eye contact beats a clever line delivered nervously.
- Your voice. Many men speak too fast or too quietly when they are anxious. Slowing down reads as confidence at any height.
- Your positioning. Where you stand and how you face her changes how the conversation feels. Standing at a comfortable distance and turning slightly toward her, not looming or shrinking, is learnable.
- Your reaction to a no. You learn to treat it as one woman's preference, not a verdict on you.
My advice for a man who thinks women will not take him seriously is practical: get fit and be a good physical specimen for your own height, and play to what you do have, such as humor, curiosity and interesting things you are doing.
What a Bootcamp covers
Every training day is two four-hour coaching blocks in the field. You get live coaching on each approach and feedback after every set. Daygame (streets and cafes by day) and night game (bars and lounges) are mixed to suit you. Each day covers four parts as they come up: approaching and conversation, attraction and delivery, numbers and dates, and handling rejection and follow-through. You leave with a written practice plan.
There is no skill floor and no height requirement, and a total beginner is never sent to one on one first. If nerves are what you worry about most, the training was built around the men who lock up.
Group or Private
Group runs three consecutive days at no more than three students per coach. Private is one, two or three days, fully one on one, with longer programs quoted on request. If you would rather not have other men watching while you work through a sensitive subject like this one, Private is the quieter way to do it. Group or Private compares them.
The honest bottom line
You will not approach every woman and close every one, and a shorter man may close a lower share of some groups of women than a taller one. coach says the same about every man with a sticking point. The answer is the same too: approach enough women, do your best work, and the numbers still land. What a short man cannot afford is to treat height as a reason to skip the practice.
