Coffee Meets Bagel Premium vs Platinum: What Each Plan Includes

Premium shows you everyone in Likes You. It also adds Bonus Bagels, monthly Flowers and Unlimited Rewinds. You get Premium Preferences, a monthly Boost, Activity Reports and Read Receipts too. Platinum includes all of that and adds three things: Priority Likes, an Infinite Boost that stays on, and Incognito mode. The headline item is Likes You. On the free plan, the people who liked you sit there blurred. On Premium you see every one of them and decide on each yourself.

Most of the rest helps you work the app more carefully. Unlimited Rewinds let you take back a pass in Suggested before the next batch arrives at noon. Activity Reports show how often a woman chats, how often she writes first, and how quickly she tends to reply. Read Receipts show you when a message has been read.

Then there are Flowers. A like sent with Flowers shows up unblurred at the top of her Likes You, even if she is on the free plan. Bonus Bagels, Premium Preferences and the monthly Boost round out the list.

Platinum keeps everything in Premium and adds three features.

Priority Likes put your likes at the top of the other person's list. A woman working through the people who liked her reaches you sooner. The Infinite Boost is always on, so the Boost stops being a monthly event. Incognito mode hides you from everyone except the people you liked first.

Sort the features by what they change and the choice gets easier.

Most of Premium is about control over your own side of the app. You see who is interested, you undo a careless pass, and you get a read on how active a woman is before you put effort into her. Platinum's extras are about reach and privacy. They move you up other people's lists and keep you in front of them, and Incognito decides who is allowed to find you at all.

Neither plan changes what she sees when she finally opens your page. Your first photo, what you wrote and your first message are the same on every tier. A paid plan can get you looked at more often. It cannot make the look go better.

Flowers are the loud version of a like, and a dating coach is wary of that kind of feature on any app. His concern is the frame it sets. You have told her she stands out before she has said a word, so the conversation starts with her a step above you and you with more to prove.

My view is that the most useful paid feature on almost any app is the one that lets you choose for yourself, rather than waiting for the app to hand you people in its own order. Unlimited Rewinds and Activity Reports serve the same man. He passes less by accident, and he spends his effort on women who are actually using the app.

Platinum earns its extra cost in two cases.

The first is a man whose page already works. Women who see it tend to like it, so the only limit is how many of them see it. My reasoning about paid tiers applies here. An app is a business, and it looks after the members who pay it the most. Priority Likes and an always-on Boost are that looking after, and they multiply whatever your page already does.

The second is privacy. With Incognito, only women you liked first can see you. For a man who would rather colleagues, clients or an ex never scroll past him, that alone can justify the plan. The trade is that women you have not liked will not come across you, so your incoming likes shrink to the ones you started.

My rule for any paid feature is short. Try it, keep it if it clearly helps, and drop it if it does not. Paid features are multipliers, and a multiplier on zero is still zero. If the free plan brings you almost no likes and few replies, neither tier will rescue you. Fix your first photo and your opening messages first.

If the free plan does bring some results, take Premium for one billing period and count. How many likes turned into conversations, and how many conversations turned into dates? Then try Platinum for a period and compare. Your own numbers will pick the plan faster than any feature list.
