Possibly, but do not count on it lasting. Hinge's pages do not say a Tinder ban blocks you from signing up. They do say Hinge shares information with other Match Group companies so it can act against fake accounts, spam, abuse and fraud, and that action includes bans. Whatever got you banned from Tinder, such as spam messages or a fake photo, can follow you to Hinge.
What Hinge says about sharing
Hinge says it shares and receives information about you across Match Group companies to help keep people safe. Tinder and Hinge are both Match Group apps. Hinge says this sharing lets it investigate, identify and take action against, for example ban, fake accounts, spam, abuse and fraud across Match Group services.
It also says it may give accounts a verified status on more than one Match Group service. Information that carries a good record across the apps can reasonably be expected to carry a bad one too.
What Hinge does not say
Nothing in Hinge's pages says a Tinder ban automatically stops you from making a Hinge account. The one account block Hinge states is for its own bans: a banned Hinge user cannot create a new Hinge account.
Hinge also says it does not share ban reasons in detail, and that reports, human moderators and automated decision-making all play a part. So nobody outside the company can tell you for certain what happens when you sign up. You may get in. You may also be removed later if Hinge acts on information it receives about you.
Why the reason for the ban matters
A ban for a one-off reason and a ban for how you behave are different problems.
If the Tinder ban came from how you use apps, the same habits will draw the same reports on Hinge. Think of copy-pasted openers, pressing after a no, rude messages, or photos that are not you. Hinge says reports are part of how bans happen, so the habits that draw reports are the ones to drop. A new app does not fix a habit. It only gives you a new place to repeat it.
If you believe the Tinder ban was a mistake, that argument belongs with Tinder. Opening a Hinge account does not settle it, and it is no substitute for making your case to the company that banned you.
Do not try to get around it
Do not build an account on someone else's photos or an invented name to get past a ban. Match Group says it acts on fake accounts across its services, and a fake account is exactly what it looks for. A man who needs a false identity to use the apps has a bigger problem than which app to open.
If you are allowed on, treat it as a clean start with your real name, your real photos and your own words. That is the only version that holds up when a woman meets you in person.
If Hinge lets you in, use it well
Hinge works differently from Tinder, and a man coming off a ban has a real chance to start cleaner. On Hinge you like a specific photo or prompt and can add a comment, so your first message goes out with the like. a dating coach says he usually sends his first message before the match even happens, with the prompts making that message easier to write.
That changes what to do with your swiping habits. Tinder rewards speed. Hinge rewards a man who reads. coach tells students that liking everyone works against them, because the apps read how selective you are and show a man who likes everyone less of what he wants.
So spend your likes on women you would really take out. Write each comment so it could only have been sent to her. A comment that points at one detail of her page reads like a person, and a person is what both women and moderators are looking for.
What to do before you sign up
Work out why you were banned, as best you can. Tinder may have given a reason. If it gave none, look honestly at your messages and your photos and ask which ones a stranger could report.
Fix those first. Then open Hinge with a profile that would pass a stranger's inspection, and messages you would be comfortable having read aloud. If the ban came from a habit, the habit is the thing to change, and the app only matters after that.
