Why You Are Not Crossing Paths With Anyone on Happn

happn's own checklist is short. Make sure your internet connection is working, geolocation is on and you have the latest version of the app. Then check that your preferences are set correctly in the My Preferences tab and that your age is right. If all of that is fine, you may simply have interacted with everyone you crossed paths with. If the problem persists, happn says to uninstall and reinstall the app, which does not cost you your messages or your Crushes.

These two come first, because happn has nothing to show you without them.

happn is built on crossing paths, so it needs to know where you have been. If geolocation is off, or your phone is not letting happn use your location, the app has nothing to work from. Check the setting on your phone itself, not only inside the app.

The internet connection is the dull one, and the one men skip. If your feed is empty on one network, try the other. Switch from wifi to mobile data, or the reverse, and open happn again.

An old version of the app is on happn's list for a reason. Open the App Store or Google Play, search for happn and install any update waiting there. It takes a minute and rules out one cause completely.

Your preferences decide who happn shows you. Set them too narrowly and a quiet feed is the result you asked for without meaning to.

Open the My Preferences tab and look at each setting as if somebody else had chosen it. Is it really who you want to see, or did you set it in a hurry on your first day and never look again?

Then check your age. It sounds too obvious to bother with, which is exactly why a wrong age can sit there unnoticed for weeks. It is on happn's checklist, so treat it as seriously as the rest.

Sometimes nothing is broken. happn shows you people whose paths crossed yours. If you have already interacted with every one of them, there is nobody new to show you until you cross paths with someone new.

That is less a fault than a sign of how small your circuit is. Home, office and home again covers very little ground, and the same few faces come round again and again.

If you got there by liking nearly everyone in a hurry, slow down from here. a dating coach has had students who liked almost everyone on the apps and got treated as less attractive for it. When they started liking far fewer women, their results improved. A small pool rewards care more than speed.

Reinstalling will not fix this one. More ground will.

If the checklist is clean and your feed is still empty, happn's advice is to uninstall the app and install it again. Your messages and Crushes are not lost when you do. So once the other checks are done, there is no reason to put it off.

happn rewards a man whose week takes him places. Work from a café one morning a week. Walk to lunch instead of eating at your desk. Train at the gym when it is busy rather than empty. Each of those puts you near people you would never pass on your usual loop.
