In nearly every case they do not. What feels like hate is usually coldness, indifference, or a reaction to something you give off without meaning to, like bitterness, neediness or a stiff, guarded way of talking. Real dislike is rare, and it is almost always about one specific thing you did. Work out which of these is true for you, and the problem becomes something you can change, even when an algorithm only shows you faces and you have no idea what she thought of your message.
First, check what is actually happening
"Girls hate me" is a big claim. Before you accept it, ask what you have actually seen.
- Did a woman say something hostile to you, or did she just not respond?
- Is it one woman, a few, or every woman you meet?
- Did anything change recently, like a bad rejection or a bad week?
A woman who gives short answers is not hating you. She may be busy, shy, or not interested. Silence feels personal, but it is mostly neutral. If your evidence is that a lot of women did not warm up to you, that is a different problem from hate, and an easier one.
A cold reaction is not hate
Women get approached all the time, often badly. A woman who has had a bad week of it will have a guarded face and flat answers for the next man, including the polite ones. That is protection, not a verdict on you.
The same goes for a woman who is simply not attracted. She is not rejecting your worth. She is not feeling the spark, and it is nothing she controls or you can argue with. Most men read this as hate because the alternative, that she just feels nothing, is harder to accept.
What you give off
Women react to the mood a man walks in with, and some moods push them away.
- Resentment. If you think women owe you something, it shows up in your tone and in how you talk about them. A woman picks up on it quickly.
- Score keeping. A man who thinks "I was nice, so she should be interested" is waiting to be paid. Women feel that.
- Neediness. Asking for reassurance, overexplaining yourself and agreeing with everything all read as someone who needs her more than she needs him.
- A guarded face. If you expect to be rejected, you look like you are bracing. It reads as cold even when you are friendly inside.
Most of these are habits, not character flaws, and habits can be changed.
Being disliked is the price of taking a stand
a dating coach makes an uncomfortable point in a short video on exactly this question. Getting girls to like you is the wrong goal. The aim is to make her attracted, and that usually means taking risks, taking a stand and doing things that might make some women dislike you.
Why? A man who never risks anything never gets a reaction, good or bad. A man who is willing to disagree, joke, say no, or ask for what he wants will sometimes annoy someone. That is the cost of being someone, not a sign that something is wrong with you.
So if some women do not like you, think about whether it is because you said or did something with a point of view. That is fine. A man everyone feels warmly about and nobody feels strongly about does not get second dates.
When it is one specific woman
If it is a coworker, a woman in your friend group or your own girlfriend, the answer is different. Here the useful move is a plain conversation. "I get the feeling something is off between us. Did I do something?" Then listen without defending yourself. If you did something, own it. If you did not, you will at least know, and you can stop guessing.
When it feels like every woman
If every woman feels cold toward you, the common factor is you. That is not an insult, it is a lead. Look at three things.
- Your reps. How many real conversations have you had in the last month? Few conversations make each one feel huge.
- Your mood going in. Are you walking in ready for rejection or ready to be curious?
- What you say about women. Do you complain about them, even as a joke? If so, stop, in front of everyone.
What to do this month
- Have more conversations with women you are not trying to win. A short chat with a cashier counts.
- Ask a question and listen to the answer instead of preparing your next line.
- Pick one habit from the list above and fix only that.
- Spend time with friends, men and women, who like you, so you remember that you are likable.
- If bitterness is a big part of it, deal with it directly. It is poison to you before it is poison to her.
What it adds up to
Girls do not hate you. Most of what you read as hate is indifference, caution or a mood you did not know you were sending. Change one thing at a time, keep talking to people, and the reactions will change with you.
