Why Can't I Subscribe to Hinge+ or HingeX?

Hinge lists three causes. Your Apple ID may be linked to another Hinge account, because each Apple ID can have only one Hinge account and one subscription at a time. You may be a Hinge Beta Tester, and testers cannot subscribe. Or an old Hinge account may still be active, in which case deleting it lets you subscribe on the new one.

This is the one that catches the most men. Hinge allows one Hinge account and one subscription per Apple ID. If an earlier account ever used the same Apple ID, the purchase on your current account can fail even though nothing looks wrong on your screen.

Ask yourself whether you have ever had a second Hinge account. Maybe you signed up years ago on an old number. Maybe you started over after a break instead of logging back in. Any account sharing your Apple ID counts.

The frustrating part is that nothing on your current account hints at the problem. Your card is fine, your account looks normal, and the purchase still fails. When that happens on an iPhone, an earlier account on the same Apple ID is the first suspect.

Hinge says Beta Testers cannot subscribe. There is no workaround inside the app for that.

If you remember signing up to try early versions of Hinge, that is very likely your answer. Take it to Hinge's Support Team rather than trying one card after another.

Deleting an app from your phone does not close the account behind it. An account you stopped using a year ago can still be sitting there, active, and still in the way.

Hinge's answer is direct: delete the old account and you can subscribe on the new one. If you still have access to the old account, sign in to it, delete it from its settings, then go back to your current account and try the purchase again.

If you cannot get into the old account at all, perhaps because the number it used is long gone, contact Hinge's Support Team and explain the situation. Do not open a third account to get around it. Every extra account is one more thing standing between you and a working subscription.

Before you delete anything, make sure you are deleting the right one.

Open both if you can. Keep the account with the conversations you care about and the likes you have been getting. The other one is the one to close.

Then keep it to one account from here on. Two accounts split your attention, and they are exactly what blocked your purchase. If you ever take a break, log out and come back later rather than starting a fresh account.

Once the block is gone, it is worth a minute to decide whether paying makes sense for you right now.

Give it a fair test before you judge. Look at a few ordinary weeks, not one quiet Sunday. One evening on the apps can be busy or empty for reasons you had no part in.

If almost nobody likes you on the free version, fix that before you pay. Lead with a recent daytime shot of just you, face clear. Add one photo that makes her curious. a dating coach calls it a curiosity photo and credits it with turning silent likes into women writing first.

Then, when a conversation does start, keep it short and specific to her, and suggest a drink before it goes flat. A paid tier on top of that works a lot harder than a paid tier on top of nothing.
