Every day at 9am. Bumble says it suggests a selection of new people in the Discover tab at that time each day. If the tab looks used up in the evening, wait until the morning and open it again.

What shows up after the reset

Discover shows members with similar interests, the same dating goals and communities in common with you. It is a narrower list than the People tab, where you swipe through everyone who fits your filters.

At the top, a section called Recommended for you shows a handful of people Bumble thinks would be an extra special match. Bumble picks them from the information on your page and from who you have matched with before.

What you can do with each card

Open a woman's page and you have four choices. Tap Like if you are interested. Send a Note if something specific caught your eye. Send a SuperSwipe if you want her to see you are especially interested. Tap Not for me to pass.

Those four are the same ones you get everywhere else on Bumble, so the only thing that is different about Discover is who is in front of you.

Why some mornings look thin

Discover is built from overlap, so it can only be as full as the information you give it. Bumble says a more complete profile that shows the real you gets the most out of Discover.

A man who left his interests blank, or picked a dozen at random, is asking the app to match him on very little. A man who chose the three he would happily talk about for an hour gives it something to work with, and his daily list is easier to write to.

Your settings matter too. A short distance or a narrow age range shrinks the pool before the list is even built. If Discover is giving you a few women a day and you live in a quiet area, widen the range a little and see what changes.

How to use the daily list

Treat it as a daily appointment. a dating coach, who has coached men on online dating for about twenty years, says the apps pay you back for steady habits. In his experience, half an hour a day for ten days earns more than five hours in one sitting, and the results arrive spread out, so you can schedule the dates that come from them.

Open Discover after 9am, go through the cards, and send a Note or a like to the ones you would honestly like to meet. Do not like every card because it is free to do so. My view is that the apps notice a man who agrees to everyone. The habit is a poor one anyway. You end up with matches you do not want and little time for the ones you do.

Write to her while the match is fresh

When a Discover like turns into a match, the clock starts. A Bumble match expires if nobody sends a message within 72 hours, so the day you match is the day to write.

Keep the first message short and about something she wrote or showed. coach tells men to be efficient here: a general format, one detail from her page and a question, sent in under a minute. A Discover match gives you a head start, since you already share something, so use it.

If she is a shared-interest match, name the interest. Ask which route she runs, which album she would defend, or where she goes for the best version of the thing you both like. A question with a real answer beats a greeting.

What a reset cannot do

A fresh list does not fix a weak page. If your photos are dim or your lines are thin, a new set of women will see the same page and respond the same way.

Open Discover every day. Like only the women you would meet, and write to each match within a day. You will get more from the 9am list than a man who checks it once a week and rescues what is left.
