What Do You Get With Bumble Premium?

Bumble Premium includes everything in Boost, plus four additions. The first is the Liked You queue, where you can see who already liked you and match instantly. The other three are advanced filters, Incognito Mode, and Travel Mode. Boost is mostly about keeping matches alive. Premium is about deciding where your attention goes.

Premium starts with the whole Boost plan, and it comes with unlimited likes. The Boost part means a weekly allowance of SuperSwipes and Spotlights. It means unlimited Extend to give a match more time, and Rematch for matches that expired. And it means unlimited Backtrack to undo a no swipe.

If the only thing you need is to stop losing matches to the clock, Boost already covers that. The reason to go one step further is the four features below.

For most men, this is the whole case for Premium.

Your Liked You queue shows the women who have already swiped right on you. You can go through it and match with anyone there instantly, instead of hoping she comes up in your deck and hoping she is still interested when she does.

That changes how an evening on the app works. Swiping through a deck is mostly spent on women who will never see you or will pass. Sorting a queue of women who already said yes is a much shorter job. If your time is the scarce thing, this is where the money goes furthest.

Two cautions. First, only match with the ones you would actually have swiped on anyway. A queue full of yeses is tempting, and matching with all of them just rebuilds the pile of conversations you cannot answer. Second, if the queue is nearly empty, that is useful information. It tells you the photos are the problem, and paying to see an empty list will not change them.

Premium lets you narrow your matches with more specific preferences than the free version allows.

Use them for genuine deal breakers and nothing else. If there is something you would never compromise on, a filter saves you from matches that were never going to work.

Resist filtering on everything. Bumble's own advice for standing out on the app is to relax your filters, because even small changes to age or distance can bring in compatible people you would otherwise miss. The man who filters on twelve preferences at once often ends up with a thin deck and blames the app for it.

Incognito Mode means only the people you choose to like get to see you first.

That is useful when privacy genuinely matters. Maybe you work in a small industry, have clients in the same town, or would rather not be spotted by coworkers while you scroll on the train. It lets you stay on the app without being on display to everyone nearby.

There is a cost worth being honest about. If you only show yourself to the women you like, you are giving up the women who would have found you on their own. For most men that means fewer matches. Turn it on for a reason, not by default.

Travel Mode lets you change your location, which Bumble describes as useful when you are planning a trip or are new to a city.

The honest way to use it is the way it is described. If you are spending a week in Chicago next month, set your location there a few days before you fly and start conversations with women who will be around when you land. Tell them you are visiting and when. A clear line about your dates makes planning easy and saves everyone a confusing chat.

What does not work is pretending to live somewhere you do not. The first plan she suggests will expose it, and a woman who feels misled does not usually give a second chance.

It comes down to which problem you have.

If you get matches but lose them because you cannot write to everyone in time, Boost is enough. Extend and Rematch are aimed right at that.

If your evenings are short and you want the swiping part of the app to take ten minutes instead of an hour, Premium is the better buy, because the Liked You queue is a genuine time saver.
