Neither is better, because they do different jobs. Hinge+ is a subscription that removes limits on what you do in the app. A Boost makes your page more visible for a short time, and it is bought on its own. Hinge+ does not include a Boost, so the choice is not one against the other. It is about which problem you have.

What a Boost does

A Boost makes your profile more visible to potential matches for one hour. A Superboost does it for 24 hours. Other users are not told you are being Boosted.

You buy a Boost separately and start it from the Likes You screen by tapping the Boost button. It lasts only as long as the window, and then you are back to normal. That makes it a burst, not a setting.

What Hinge+ does

Hinge+ and HingeX both give you unlimited Likes, a view of everyone who liked you at once, unlimited Undo Skips and advanced dating filters. Free members send a limited number of Likes a day.

None of that makes more women look at you. It changes what you can do with the women who are already in front of you. You can like freely, see every Like in one place, take back a skip and filter harder.

The feature that gets seen more is a different one. Get Seen by More Daters is the always-on visibility lift, and it belongs to HingeX only. Hinge calls it a light but always-on version of a Boost. Hinge+ does not have it.

Read down the middle rows and the split is plain. Hinge+ is about control. A Boost is about reach.

Which problem do you actually have

If you keep running out of Likes, Hinge+ solves that. If you are sitting on a pile of Likes you cannot see all of, it solves that too. A man with a good page who wants to move faster will feel the difference.

If your page is strong and few women are seeing it, a Boost addresses that, for a while. It puts you in front of more women when you can reply promptly, which is the point. Hinge notes that a Boost can rank your page even higher than the always-on feature for HingeX while it runs, because it is a short, strong push.

If your page is weak, neither fixes it. More eyes on a page that does not hold them just means more women scrolling past.

a dating coach on paying to be seen

a dating coach's view of paid app features is direct. The apps are businesses, and in his words a small spend to be seen is a smart thing to do. He says the woman will not know you paid, and that the cost is small next to the cost of wasting your time on a page nobody sees.

His rule is the part worth keeping. Do an experiment. Assuming your page already gets some results, try the paid feature and compare. If you multiply zero by a million, he says, you still have zero.

That is the order to follow here. Fix the page first. Then test.

A sensible way to test

Start with the cheaper question. Spend a week on the free version and count your Likes sent, your matches, your real conversations and your dates set.

If the limit is how many Likes you can send or how many you can see, try Hinge+ for a month and count again.

If the limit is how many women see you, buy a single Boost and use it when you can reply for the next hour. Pick an evening when you are free, not one when you are about to leave for dinner. A Boost wasted on a night you cannot answer is money gone.

Keep the page and your openers the same through the test, or you will not know what worked.

When to skip both

If you rarely open the app, skip both. A Boost brings women to you, and a match from it needs a reply. Likes you cannot send quickly are not worth unlimited either.

And if you have not looked at your first photo and your prompt answers in a while, do that before you spend anything. A better page makes every feature, free or paid, work harder.
