Open the list of people who have Liked you. happn puts it at the top of the Messages section or in the navigation bar, and it shows everyone who has already tapped Like on you. Like one of them back and you have a Crush, which opens the chat straight away. The one condition is money: happn says you need a subscription to use the list.

Where the list lives

happn keeps the list in one of two places. Look at the top of the Messages section first. If it is not there, check the navigation bar.

Everyone in it has done the same thing. They saw you on the app and tapped Like. The list is simply the place where all of those Likes are gathered, with a face and a name on each one, so you can decide what to do about them.

What happens when you Like someone back

When you Like her back, the two Likes meet and happn calls it a Crush. From that moment either of you can write.

That is what makes the list different from your ordinary feed. In the feed, every Like you send is a guess. In the list, you are answering someone who has already said yes. There is nothing to wait for and nothing to wonder about, because she made her choice before you opened the app.

Why you need a subscription

happn says the list requires a subscription. Without one, a Crush still happens the ordinary way, when you Like someone in your feed who Liked you too. What the money buys is the shortcut: seeing, in one place, who those people are before you have Liked them.

Plans and prices change, so check them inside the app before you buy. A number you read somewhere else may already be out of date.

Is the list worth paying for

a dating coach thinks most men are too proud to spend anything on the apps, and that it costs them. He compares it to refusing to buy a woman a drink on principle. You keep your pride and lose the night. His second rule sits right beside the first one: test every paid feature, and drop it if it does not make a real difference.

So run an honest test. Before you pay, count how many Crushes you get in a normal week on the free app. Pay for a month and count again. If the list turns up women you would happily take out, and you would never have found them in your feed, it earned its fee. If it mostly shows women you would have passed on, cancel it and keep the money.

The list pays off most for a man with a busy feed and not much spare time. If you cross paths with a lot of people in a day, it puts the ones who already chose you at the front. That can turn half an hour of scrolling into five minutes of sorting.

Sort it like any other set of matches

The mistake men make with the list is treating it as a prize. Everyone in it Liked you, so passing feels rude, and the man ends up Liking back every single face.

That fills his chats with women he was never going to see. He ends up writing short, tired messages to twelve people instead of good ones to three. Every conversation gets a little less of him, and most of them go nowhere.

Hold the list to the same standard as your feed. Like back the women you would actually want across a table from you, and leave the rest. A Like cost her one tap. It does not oblige you to anything.

Turn the Crush into a date

A Crush from the list starts with two advantages. She already chose you. And because happn is built around the people you cross paths with, she spends at least some of her time near you.

Use both of them. Open with something specific from her photos, or a light line about the part of town you seem to share. Keep it short. a dating coach gets from a first message to a plan in four to seven texts, and every one of them moves the chat a little closer to that plan.

So do not let it drift. Suggest a place near where your paths crossed, name a day, and ask. If she answers with enthusiasm, you have a date. If she stays vague twice, let it go and move on to the next name on the list. There will be another one, and she has already said yes to you too.
