Open the Likes tab, the heart icon, and you will find the people who have liked you. Tap the heart on any of them to like her back, and you have a match. Without a Badoo Premium subscription you can still see that new likes have come in, but the women stay blurred until you upgrade.
Where your likes show up
The Likes tab is the heart icon in the app. Every woman who has liked you lands there.
From that list, liking someone back is one tap on the heart. Because she already liked you, that tap turns straight into a match, and the two of you can start talking.
What you get without paying
On the free version you see that likes have arrived, but not who sent them. The faces are blurred.
That is still worth something. Seeing likes arrive is free feedback on how your photos are doing. If new likes show up every day, women are responding to you and the paid view has something to show you. If they barely show up, you have learned that too, and without spending anything.
When paying to see them is worth it
a dating coach has said that one of the most valuable things a dating app can sell you is the power to pick your own matches, rather than taking whoever the app serves up. Seeing who liked you is exactly that. Every woman in the list has already said yes, so every heart you send from it is a match.
He is just as clear that paying only amplifies what is already happening. Premium is worth a lot if women already like you and worth very little if they do not. The blurred list is the test. Plenty of likes means Premium has something to multiply. A trickle means the money is better spent on new photos first.
If you do pay, start with a short plan and count the results. How many likes did you turn into matches? How many of those matches became conversations, and how many conversations became a plan?
You still choose
Her like is an invitation, not an order. Men who get access to the list often like back every single woman in it, and then their chats fill up with women they were never going to take out.
Be as picky here as you would be anywhere else. A short list of women you are genuinely excited about beats a long list you will half ignore. Every chat you leave hanging pulls a little attention away from the ones that matter. My advice is to set your bar a little higher online than you would in person. Most people are a notch less striking in person than in their best photos. So a woman you are only lukewarm about in the app will rarely surprise you on the night.
Send the first message fast
A match from the Likes tab is warm. She picked you before you picked her, so her interest is at its highest the moment you match.
coach writes his first messages quickly, usually within about a minute of opening a woman's page. He finds one thing on her page, turns it into a short line with a little play in it, and sends it. A plain "hey" wastes the warmest match you will get all week, and a long paragraph turns it into homework.
What to write when she liked you first
A woman who liked you first has already done half the work. Your first message does not need to win her over. It needs to show her that the man in the photos is fun to talk to.
Pick one specific thing from her page, a trip photo, something she wrote, a hobby, and say something about it that only makes sense for her. A light tease works well here. She already likes you, so a bit of play reads as confidence rather than rudeness. Stop at two lines.
Then make the next two or three messages count. Ask her something she will enjoy answering, react to what she says, and keep your replies about the same length as hers. She picked you. Your job is to make that choice feel right, and quickly.
From a match to a date
Getting the match is the easy part. Keeping it going is where most men lose women who already liked them.
coach rarely needs more than a handful of messages, somewhere between four and seven, to go from a match to a number. He does not let a warm chat drift on for days. When you sit down to use the app, handle the women closest to a date first, then reply to everyone else, then send your first messages to new matches. Only then go back to the Likes tab for more.
